How to fix Ashe

I have 250 hours on her, so I definitely play her and enjoy her but what’s happening to her now was always my fear. Because there were only a few people who recognized her potential or clicked well with her, she was barely played. Now to compete with other heroes, she’s been buffed to high heaven.

She is insanely broken right now.

I think TnT should both have it’s damage and cooldown nerfed. It has always been a strong ability but it’s strength used to be justified by her primary fire being weak. However since release, every buff has been to her primary.
We have had, reload speed, hipfire spread, zoom speed (buff to accuracy), scoped to unscope speed (allows for easier kill combos) and probably a couple other I’m missing.
Now her primary is good and comparable to other DPS.

But she still has a 75 burst, 100 DOT ability on a 10 second cooldown. Keep in mind the burn is 5 seconds so this can almost always be up.
Her TNT is too strong with no justification for it anymore.

Another problem I have with it, is how easy it is to hit. The ability was introduced as a skillshot. Jeff Kaplan said almost exactly that “higher skill players would be able to shoot the tnt for more damage”. But it doesn’t take any skill. You can always shoot it because of its speed and trajectory.

So I say, either make it harder to shoot, or reduce the DOT to 50 and put the cooldown up to 12 seconds.

I say make it harder to shoot. Retains its area denial ability while making the ability weaker.

This would be my go to. It would seperate all the hip firing tnt spamming Ashes from good ones.

i understand all your statement
but i thing nerfing tnt will make this character useless

close -mid range we get mccree (no scope + CC)
all 3 shots kill without HS , no point in using her with a scope at all

long range we get widowmaker 1 hit kill

ultimate you know how many skill can counter it
it dose not need lucio or zenyatta ultimate to protect the team at all

while i do agree with you about tnt ,it is not always reliable as a high damage source because if opponent are stand separately, you can’t get high damage
tnt in long range shooting is not easy , you need to know the DEPTH of the enemies and this require practice, also can be blocked by shield when throwing

I’d agree that used to be the case but her primary definitely contends with Widows and Crees now. Yeah widow can 1 shot but Ashe can 2 shot from a further range than cree and with a faster fire rate than widow. Also she 3 tap body shots at a further range than Cree.

Tnt being unfair when used on crowds was not my point. Whether it’s used against one person or 6, it’s too easy a route to do 175 damage at minimum. Tnt in long range is just as easy as short range because scoping does not change your reticle location and the Tnt will still fall right in front of it.
It can’t be blocked by shield if you throw it over the shield which is already what you should be doing. If Rein is jumping to block it, that’s counterplay and no reason to keep the ability over tuned.

Again, with 250 hours on Ashe I can say TNT never required practice. It has always been an easy ability.

Oh this account is pretty famous for reasons so I use it to post on forums bc my main is also forum banned. I’m 3.6 DPS tho.

But how can this account sit at 1377 SR as DPS if your support SR with Ana is at 3k

They can switch the explosion damage to 100, and the DoT to 75 over 5 seconds, then increase the cooldown.

Making it harder to hit will just make it useless. Consider that every other hero in the Damage category has abilities that are far easier to land, and they have things ranging from an AoE of effect, remote, and proximity based triggers. Compared to those it is more of a skill shot, cause nothing else requires you to actually shoot it or it’s super easy to avoid.

Plus, personally I think her hipfire is too spammy, and the extra shots are unneeded.

Like using a part of her kit that was designed to be used that way makes you a bad player…lol ok

I find ashe more of a problem than widow, she has a good E and a good ultimate compared to widow too

won’ get 175 damage unless no healer or anti heal or no heal pack this is maximum damage not minimum

ashe don’t get cc protection like mccree and more vulnerable to flanker too

playing her more like personal preference instead of necessary to play when you get the other original characters

I’m pretty sure this guy specifically was replied to by Jeff after complaining about being banned and Jeff just sent him into the next dimension actually.

The only time the 175 damage won’t go off is if it’s cleansed by a healthpack/ability or death. Healers do not stop the damage from happening.

Coach gun is what you’re calling flanker protection.

And this last sentence I have no idea what you’re trying to say.

Maybe they should let dynamite be destroyed by 50-or-so incoming damage–similar to something like immo field?

That’d be pretty cool too. Opens up for some counter play. Rewards a good shot by the enemy.

yes i forget it still burn you even there is healer
every time there is healer i find the burning is nothing
but explosion damage from 30-75 so still won’t always get 175

last statement only say it is more personal favourite for playing Ashe. not a must or meta to choose her over other shooter character .
