How do you effectively shoot the people who rapidly move side to side to avoid getting shot?
Any tips?

Typically, strafer’s have some sort of pattern while… strafing.
You just need to watch them closely and observe that pattern I guess.
There’s nothing you can do if you’re on widow or mccree. Even the top pro players complain about how broken strafe/crouch spam is in this game.
play Symm, problem solved
Or Winston.
Or Moira.
Or Reinhardt.
Or Brigitte.
Just click on her head
Looooool
If it’s rapid ADAD then they won’t be moving anywhere. However, if they’re good at strafing you need to predict where they’re going to be and try to lead your shots. Also just bodyshot if you’re having a hard time aiming at their head.
Find the pattern or get lucky.
Wait for Blizzard to learn how to make proper FPS movement or just shoot them and get lucky.
This might be the one and only time where “git gud” actually applies haha.
But in all seriousness, just work on your aim (as in, actually practice it outside of matches with ana headshot practice, or 1v1’s vs friends) and just continue playing the game.
The higher you get in rank, the more you’ll encounter it… but the more you encounter it, the more used to it you’ll become.
I use a game on steam called aim hero to do some target practice. It’s actually helped significantly.
What about people that spam shoot? Sometimes I try to kill someone and they keep spamming their weapon instead of letting me kill them. What should I do?
Just click on their head.
Keep your reticle at waist level of the character rather than going for a headshot.
What? No you just wait for them to move in front of your dot and click. They’re both hitscan there isn’t a delay. It really is as simple as let them kill themselves.
Don’t engage in an 1v1 situation if you’re playing an aim-centric character.
Your opponent can only focus on so many things at a time. If you’re in a team fight, chances are they won’t have as much time to focus on dodging your shots specifically and you can predict them much more reliably.
You should also use the element of surprise; be sure to crouch and sneak to avoid giving away your position and you’ll have a much easier time landing your shots.
Get a teammate to shoot them at another angle. At 90 degrees they’re practically standing still. Splash damage on the floor also works.
Yep – Just look at their left-most and right-most strafe boundaries, then fire right down the center.
A few soldiers tried ADAD-spam on me this past weekend. They quickly learned it didn’t work as well as advertised.
