How do you beat Zarya? I’m starting to get frustrated with her because of her bubble shield. Whenever she activates it, it discourages me to attack her because I know that by attacking her, while her bubble shield is on, will just make her weapon even stronger afterwards.
Sym / Rammattra like always rein works too you just dont want to pump in bullet dmg into her shields is all but melee works fine. Unless they changed that or something I know that Rammatra didnt work last patch due to his nemesis form change but they reverted it so he is back to being the best pick as far as I know.
Damage boosted high burst hitscan like Cass
or Bastion, or Mei
countering zarya is basically just pacing and mid range poke
you shoot expecting to stop for first bubble, then pressure hard, then either force through the second (if there wasnt much time so a 3rd isnt available), or poke out the second and push the third.
zarya thrives an using a bubble every 4-6 seconds so one always almost avalable

It would be less frustrating if the “bubbles” were just the hitbox of the hero, they could add a fancy pink gradient over the hero like they do with damage boost. Would make 200% more sense than some random “bubble”. 0 thought into the design.
Why is she even voiced by a Serbian? Her voice lines sound horrible to native Russians
I just hold a shield in her face the entire game. Not much she can do about it.

You shouldn’t always be scared to break her bubbles. Her charge means nothing when she’s dead.
You have to bait her two bubbles.
Trick that is really working now is. Asking my team to keep blasting the zarya, and I stay on the Rein as mauga.,
We are pressuring the zarya so much that she is wondering if she should bubble herself or the tank that is dying.
Also dont be discrougaed - zarya is a high game sense hero, you need to know what she is doing, where the off tank is, where her healers are.
If she has no bubble, you can insta swap and 1 shot their heals
So be easy and learn how to pressure a zarya. dont worry about her buibble.

Rein is certainly good into Zarya. But any dmg to her bubbles gives her charge, doesn’t matter if it’s bullets or melee. And depending on the situation, it can be a good idea to break her bubbles and kill her through it. It’s situational, don’t want to give her free charge if she isn’t going to die.
Zarya isn’t very good rn. Reinhardt, Winston, and Ashe are all heroes who are dominating on the ladder right now who also counter her.
Don’t shoot when shields are up. Stay out of range of her lasers unless you can’t, I.e. tanking. Take out healers so she dies.
Zarya is strongest against people afraid of her bubble. It takes your team to commit, but the absolute best way to deal with Zarya is to ignore her bubble, whole team dogpiles, chew through the bubble and focus her down.

First bubble, wait for it to disappear. Second bubble, go all in. She can only gain 40 energy, which is not enough for any real damage. Second bubble pops, and now she’s in trouble because the bubbles are both on cooldown.

Same as Doomfist, the only way to counter them is by a good Matchmaking.
You already know the answer " Don’t shoot and wait" but 90% of time you’re going to have one or both DPS or usually a DF/Road/Orisa feeding her even at high ranks people mindless never stop attacking and the Zarya playa just walks with W holding fire and solo your whole team.

You punish Zarya by zoning her with mid range and snipers.
Use Mei’s ice wall to cut her off from her team.
Zarya can’t do much against the high ground. So your Pharahs, Echos, snipers, Torn turret up top, and plenty of DPS from above got free ult charge to rain hell down on her.
Mobility counters her because she’s very slow. So repositioning around her gives her trouble. Same with isolating a teammate from her to get dove.
Tanks easiest is staying back with Orisa because you have no fall off DMG to Zone her all day. She tried to hit you with alternate fire you just spear spin it away.
Though in a long fight you want to communicate with your ranged DPS to start targeting enemy Support while your Orisa is distracting Zarya in a tug of war at the backline.
Dva you just use your mobility to stay out of her range. Use DM to give your DPS a free lane to eliminate squishes, and clean Zarya up with missiles and batter ramming her when she’s stuck in a reload animation.
You can bust her up with other tanks like Winston with mobility to give Zarya a headache. Ram and Simga can zone her then rush her down when she’s on cooldown. Again ball with mobility, but you need skill, execution, and map knowledge.
Overall play Zarya. Once you see what blows you up it is easy to mimick. She’s weak as a single tank. Great win partnered with a tank.
But her weaknesses can get punished on many maps like a Junkertown or lots of final push points to get objective across the finish line.

Rein - hold shield.
Feign melee. Melee and as soon as you see her pop the bubble shield to cancel the bubble.
She is really easy to pin too.
If she’s low on charge, it takes ages for her to break your shield.
Symmetra and Bastion can do immense damage in extremely short amounts of time and just tear through the bubble and then her before she can capitalize on the damage.
From my experience hitscan / sniper + some shield is a good choice. Lots of healing also nullifies her damage.
These are free instant 90% charge, try to avoid
