How to counter classic Bastion?

How do you counter Bastion stacks, Mercy pocketed Bastion or Rein shielded Bastion?

Just how do you deal with classic Bastion?

The most I ran into was 2 bastions. I mostly play tracer so I just farm pulse and stick him since it one shots pretty much anything. Also you get it insanely fast.

You off angle Scattuh and farm the dragon to murdify him before he the real Slim Shady can stand up. That’s what I used to do, anyways. As a solo queue strat.

Genji (deflect), Junkrat (get an off angle that bastion can’t hit, flank him etc), Tracer (flank him).

If he has a team backing him with a Rein shield, Junkrat, Pharah etc are a good option.

EDIT: Actually even Hanzo can be good.

Tracer owns Bastion

Classic made me remember how old Bastion was total nuts with tight spread and headshots ha

Hanzo eats Bastions for breakfast. Same with Roadhog. Of course, if you have two bastions looking at you, consider getting help. Hanzo can also mark a Bastion and people will see where he is and realize he’s an easy target.

Pulse Bomb will kill him in one-shot; anyone near him will also die.

Roadhog can hook him out of Sentry.

Genji’s Deflect break down Rein’s barrier.

Zarya can burn him down at 50 charge with one Particle Barrier.

Park a Self-Destruct or air-bomb it.

Long-range shots from WIdowmaker, Pharah and Hanzo.

Rip-Tire.

Blizzard

Ice Wall for safe approaches.

symm and a widow

symm pierces the barrier with secondary fire, then when bastion moves you snipe him

So I don’t think this is good advice but my team of 4 Zens, a Tracer, and a Junkrat beat 5 Bastions and a Widow.

You gotta use the fact that he’s immobile against him.

I think it also really depends on what map are they being played. Like 2 bastions and a torb on like numbani defense, that can be tough. Fairly hard point to attack in general. And anywhere near the point have turrets or bastions shooting at multiple angles.

Widow can snipe them from range, Symmetra can shoot through shields.

Yes, her alt fire goes through shields. Symmetra was the answer to double shield metas, and they removed her ability that could do it.

Hanzo and Zen are classic counters for Bastion. Hanzo can easily outdamage Bastion’s repair speed with quick peeks. Zen has volley doing same thing. Zen just can’t climb to high ground and his hitbox is pretty bad.

Hansbow and scatter if you actually angle it to his behind you can hit his crit or just shoot near him and follow up when he is one.

Stuns, deflect, scatter, tracer, discord (as long as they don’t have widow) and focus fire from behind a barrier

Classical situation 6 vs 1 , you cant win this alone. Group up and use all those techniques that people alredy mentioned. Also 4 widowmaker from different angles and covers can melt them

you can wall bastion up above shield and get the team to shoot him. bonus if you have a roadhog to hook him after. this works well into double shield meta and with pirate ships. did anyone actually play OW1??

Mei. Mei destroys them. Often you can get angles where you can snipe the left or wight protrusions on his model without him being able to hit you.
