How to adjust hanzo

The initial rework to hanzo was made to make him more consistent, however apparently it made him too much of a tank buster/cheesy . What if:

Storm arrow damage reduced to 30-50 (cannot crit), becomes hitscan

This way he can’t tankbust, and maintains (if not gains) consistency

Every DPS is basicly a tank buster, stop hating and focusing on one hero, and see a broader aspect.

Boi I’m a 1k+ hour hanzo main. I’m doing this to propose reasonable changes

Why do you want to remove the only shield buster in the game, that remained vialble?

And making storm arrows hitscan is a bad idea as it is inconsistant with his normal shots.

50 damage hitscan will erase any hero including tanks in seconds across map

the storm arrow was to help him against fast twitch heroes like tracer and genji, but it also made him a pretty harsh customer for tanks since they can crit and critting is much easier against tanks since bigger heads.

also hanzo have always beens a handful for tanks to deal with, both dragonstrike and hanzos old scatter arrow was great against tanks.

Because he’s not the only viable one? Mccree? Orisa? Bastion? Hog?

Also ana has hitscan and projectile and she’s fine

I just think he needs a smaller projectile size to increase his skill cap, hitboxes in this game are too generous for shurikan sized instant death.

They already tried that and it was horrible

mccree is not a shield buster, bastion is extremly niche, orisa is so far from shield busting like andromeda from earth. Hog is a niche tank.

Totally different playstyle. Even her projectile behaves differently.

Even if there were another similar shield buster, why you want to do that to hanzo? He is viable now, not op, not picked too often, not a too good win ratio, why remove one of his reasons of being picked and make him useless again?

I said 30-50 and all hitscan besides widow has falloff… so not even remotely

I agree Hanzo is a little overpowered, but I would personally target his lunge ability. I believe snipers should not have such abundant mobility. I would increase the cooldown of lunge from 5 seconds to 7 seconds. This would open up a much wider opportunity for him to be vulnerable.

It’s already been increased and that’d be ridiculous when widow has 6x the range at only double the cd

Before the huge speed increase, now I don’t see why instant death arrows need to have a larger projectile size than 75hp healing darts. He’s too consistent compared to Widowmaker at close to medium range, there is too much value for too low a skill ceiling on those shots and corner/choke spam needs to go away.

They aren’t? His arrows are the smallest projectile in the game. He’s supposed to be more consistent than widow at close mid. That’s his deal. Widow is mid long. If you’re dying to corner/choke spam that’s 100% on you lmao

Corner/choke instant death happens, you should not really be able to kill anything that you aren’t aiming at with one stray shoy and lets not even pretend that’s strictly the victims fault.

No, I don’t think it is the smallest projectile in the game, I’ll go look it up but Jeff is on record as saying it is shurikan sized.

If it happens more than once it’s 100% their fault.

Tied for smallest with several other projectiles according to Reddit, it needs to be objectively the single smallest projectile IMO.

Hanzo can also climb walls… and is much deadlier at close range… and lunge activates slightly faster than grapple…
