I recently purchased the Overwatch® 2: Watchpoint Pack for $40 and when I logged into my Bnet launcher it says that there is an upgrade available. When I click on the link it brings me to the same page to buy the pack.
My receipt says, “You can access your Overwatch® 2: Watchpoint Pack the next time you log in to Overwatch.” But I don’t see any added content on my account.
Hmmm.
You got scammed.
Unfortunately.

Beta is over. Next time please read what you buy. Try to get a refund but we might get another beta after the 3rd remix event. But maybe we dont.

I haven’t bought it but I believe this is just the generic message that appears when you get/buy something from outside the game.
The package is probably already on your account but you won’t see anything before OW2 launches because it is OW2 content.

I get that, but what about the credits and cosmetics? There is nothing in my game that indicates that I purchased this pack.
The content is for OW2 release on October 4th. You will get:
Upon launch in October, you will receive the following Overwatch® 2 in-game content: Season 1 Premium Battle Pass, two (2) Legendary Space Raider Hero Skins, 2000 Overwatch® 2 Virtual Currency (Season 1 – 3 Premium Battle Passes will be available for 1000 Virtual Currency each)
Its when OW2 launches. You get the 2k currency, icon, skins and the BP then. The currency is the new premium currency btw.
kinda sad that there has been numerous threads about this. you guys have to be more careful on what you buy. impulse buying is on you, not too judge to harshly ive done it before on games that i wanted. like baldurs gate 3 which is not even finished yet. early access game that has been early access for about 2 years
I don’t regret my decision, I can always get a refund I was just curious why Blizzard did not give us any kind of confirmation in game for our investment.
This pack is proving to show the direction OW2 is heading.
3rd beta is more likely to be an open beta too so…

You’re not going to see OW2 credits and cosmetics in OW. Everything in that package pertains to OW2 only.
the way the pack is presented is a bit manipulative, i wonder how many poor saps bought it thinking it was the upgrade to ow2

It not looks like there will be a third beta at all.
- Beta branch is completely disabled on Battle.net (look at Blizztrack)
- The devs started to finalize the balancing and released a modified beta build for the OWL yesterday (2.0.9.3)
- The wording of the recent Blogposts suggest that there is no third beta at all
- The last Beta was marketed as full OW2 Beta
- The last Beta was an “open Beta” for all who opt-in
Second beta was awful so they probably want to avoid bad and mixed reviews to not kill the last bit of the remaining hype.
Releasing a third beta close to launch would kill the game, cause:
- Fox Girl is the third hero of the 3 new heroes of Season I
- Portugal is the last new map
- Battle Pass & Shop items would no surprise anymore
The devs need all the remaining content & features for a good meaningful launch of OW2. This is the reason why they might not release a third beta at all.
let’s hope the fox hero is good enough to get healers to queue cause if the game has 20 minutes queues on tanks and dps it’s gonna die ultra fast
Well here’s the thing though. Overwatch has never EVER released a hero without a ptr/beta prior. Even with all the internal and OWL testing done. So if they do that it would be a very controversial first but honestly i doubt they would go there cause why would they stop now given they had no reason not to do this.
The content you received is for OW2. If you’re concerned that you spent money and didn’t get anything you can probably call or open a ticket & make sure that you got it.
