I needed to make another thread because the moderators won’t answer and no one here answers or knows either.
How much does your SR decays every day or week you don’t play? I got dropped down 5 levels and a whole rank lower for not playing for a week. That’s absolutely crazy rediculous.
How much do you decay? Someone has to know because surely I’m not the only one who doesn’t play EVERY SINGLE DAY I have a normal life and other responsibilities can’t play video games EVERY SINGLE DAY…
What answer? When? How much do you decay every day or week? Do you know? Or are you just spamming the forums with pointless posts that don’t answer the question??? You should spend less of your time replying to posts on forums you don’t have the answer too!
No it’s not the answer. I still don’t know how much each role will decay every day or per week? Do you know? You are just a typical forum troll you’re wasting your time. I will create a new thread until someone answers this question. A moderator should have answered this question properly. Not you, your answers are worthless.
I’m tired of my SR dropping so much and I don’t know exactly why. Meaning how much it drops every day or week or month you don’t play. Where is this information? Can a moderator please answer this with accurate information?
Only someone of the dev team can answer, and they never personally post here.
Moderators here as like a sweeper, no offense for them.
They know nothing about the inner workings of the game.
All you’ll get are trolls or haters as answers.
Did a new season happen to start in that time frame? Because as far as I know, decay isn’t a thing anymore, and even when it was in OW1, it didn’t go that as fast as you say.
I’m 99% sure it just dropped you down a tier because of season 3 and wasn’t related to you not playing.
I have accounts I haven’t played on for weeks and they haven’t dropped at all. My DPS alt is still sitting in plat 5 after way more than a week. None of my alt accounts decayed either. This account is still master 5 after 3 days of not playing.
What exactly was the time frame where you didn’t play?
I meant the date when you last played before going on to not play for that week and 3 days. Because the season started Feb 7 and that’s when going from diamond to gold would actually happen, so if last you played before Feb 7, then you have an answer.
They got rid of SR decay with OW2, even in top500, so I see no reason why they would introduce it out of nowhere. Because as I said, SR decay was never this quick.
That’s strange. But even then I don’t think it’s actually SR decay, has to be something else. Even Blizzard wouldn’t put out something as big as this without announcing it, especially considering how many blog posts they’ve been pumping out lately.
Was it the first 5 wins of the season when it dropped you down? Because one thing that comes to mind is that your rank simply didn’t display properly, considering the career profile bug, and it kept showing as diamond even after S3 began, and then once you got your first 5 wins, it displayed the rank that was supposed to be displayed after the seasonal drop.
The system takes the games you played after your last rank adjustments before the end of season into consideration.
So if you ranked up to Master 5 and then played a bunch more games, but not enough for another rank adjustments, the system takes those games and does a “special” rank adjustment base on them, and the result would be your end of season rank.
It’s been iffy, I only explained what the intended behaviour is. I’ve heard of people who didn’t play any games but their end of season rank wasn’t accurate anyway. I wouldn’t immediately jump to the conclusion that it’s decay tho. We know the rank system is pretty crap overall and doesn’t always do what it’s supposed to, but rank decay based on inactivity is something that would have to be consciously added in by devs, so I find that that unlikely.
One example I have is my Mercy only account where I went from G2 to G1 between seasons without playing, which is the opposite of decay.
