I’m a newbie with zen. Just started playing him for the healer role in role q. I know stats aren’t everything, but I just like to know if I am meeting the expectations. I main dps so, I’m not sure how much healing I need to have? How much damage?
You call me a trash widow, but I clicked on your head

It’s really map/team comp dependent. You can’t really judge your success by stats like this. Just call out when you discord important targets like tanks.

Try this website. Also has a comp filter.
All your stats look really solid to date. Nice.

Doesnt really matter. Your goal should be to have trans available as fast as you can and always use trans at the correct time. If you can get that down, you will climb fast. Ive had games where like half of my total healing output was from trans.
Its not uncommon to have gold or silver damage with zen if you are playing well. So dont be one of those people that yell “why do i have gold or silver damage with zen, dps do something!”. Especially if you have a dps that doesnt deal much damage but enables their team to deal more damage, like mei or sombra

you should damage a lot, even outdpsing the dps, discord a lot, and healing is very reliant on the teammate with accord not eating too many bullets to die, that one is pretty much arbitrary and out of control of zen
I think outdpsing the dps isnt as easy unless you have your entire team backing you up
If you click heads it’s not that hard. I’m a DPS main but I consistently make 50+ elim games with zen. Think my hero damage record was around 20k and it was in a rather short game (no OT’s, just a Hammond that I never missed)
Anyways when it comes to your heal it’s impossible to tell what’s expected from you as it comes down to your team comp, the enemy team comp and so on. For example if your team have self-heal heroes and you have a good main healer you wont get much from the orb at all, hell even a HoG can outheal you in those games if you don’t get good trances out.
Same kind of goes if many dive type of games as the victory is determined extremely early in most of those fights, like the Winston+D.Va or Hammond will go in, take some damage, maybe a few DPS take some but overall the fight is over fast and if you have a burst healer that can usually solo heal most of that and the only heal you get is some of the damage main tank has take.
Some type of games Zen can stack up quite a bit of heal though, like those games that aren’t really explosive but just very prolonged type of fights with wombo combo ultis you can trance. Often when you have like Rein+Zarya and one of those play aggressive but not in a way of overextending your orb will generate lots of heals compared to many other games but again, protecting your team versus dragons and blades for example is where you have some real heal potential so it’s important to farm up fast ultis by generating as much heal from orb and click 4heads. Being able to track enemy ultis also goes a long way because if you know how fast you can farm your ulti in a game and their ulti status it’s much easier to pull off aggressive trances while being able to get a new one up before the enemy genji/Hanzo+Zarya/whatever have theirs again.
Remember that to play zen …contrary to his peaceful nature …you have to frag hard…healing orb is set and forget…the only time zen passive is when you are low health…
Tank is your breakfast …
Squishy is your desert…
Avoid sniper if you don’t want to end up like your brother .
Flanker is your ultimate test…
