Once again, as a forum MVP, I have communicated with Blizzard directly. They issue actions based on reports received, and these are reviewed by humans.

You attempting to say one can workaround the penalty system is dangerous for our community and frankly a violation of the forum Code-of-Conduct.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO GAME OR WORKAROUND PENALTIES TO CONTINUE TO BE DISRUPTIVE IN ANY BLIZZARD GAME! YOU WILL BE CAUGHT!

You sound like you probably deserved to be reported and will continue to be. Just a hunch.

No, reports are accumulated and offenders are actioned based on multiple reports over multiple matches. It would be impossible to review every single one-off report. Just identifying players who are consistantly disruptive in game.

Over 99% of all players are reported at some point of time, but only about 5% or less are ever so disruptive that they need to be actioned by Blizzard, and only about 1% continue to be disruptive after the first issued action (silence or suspension). Now the warning message that I image linked above does come automatically if a player is receiving enough reports over a number of games played, again this is NOT time based. You can’t just spend a day being disruptive, not play for a month, then come back and continue to be disruptive.

AGAIN, if you are seeing the warning, that is a sign you have a consistant behavior that needs to be changed immediately!

LOL! Making up stats now too. I guarantee over 20% of active accounts have been silenced or suspended.

So I need to stop picking torb and ball then? Because I’ve been suspended for that too.

I can absolutely say that this wasnt right not even that long ago. They definitely used to decay with time. Although maybe it was changed semi recently?

Hero choices are not considered, but your behavior such as feeding into the enemy team (something I often see some Wrecking Ball players frequently do to be honest), can be actioned for Gameplay Sabotage.

For example, a few years ago, a player complained that they were banned for one-tricking, and Community Manager Josh Engen took up himself to investigate it and discovered the player behavior was completely justified to result in a ban and not due to the choice of hero. I have this archived here:

I can’t force you to change your mind, but I will continue to post official sources and information for the benefit of this community and will be honest to others in this community and not be a troll about it.

My experience is different
I never got suspended or banned on any account, let it be onetricking when everybody hated widowmaker, being sometimes a bit toxic… You really need to be consistently rude to other people in order to get a warning or banned for abusive chat.
Also, the source Wyoming posted gives good isnights, I recommend watching it

You dont get reported because of “random reasons”. You did something MULTIPLE TIMES that annoyed people. I know its bad but:

  1. Dont type “ez” or so in the chat when winning. When I am mad I also report such people. Just dont do it.

  2. Dont swear in ANY chat or any form

  3. Dont throw matches

  4. Dont “shi* talk” about anyone

If you do that you will be fine.

Yeah I also had bad days in that I played pretty badly and was well… not so nice in chat. But never got anything. You really have to be toxic a LOT to even get a warning it seems.

You ABSOLUTELY DO. And people ADMIT to doing it here on the forums. You’re that bent on being right that you’d ignore that. Lose game? There are players that report all 5 teammates. Ask to switch? Report. Play anything other than what they want (sometimes without them even asking you to switch)? Report. Type “GG” when they don’t think it was? Report. ALL OF THESE are things people do.

You maybe get them in every what? 50 games? This people archive nothing because they dont play so many game with one person to trigger something. You also dont get a warning or a punishment for like 5 or 10 reports. You have to get a LOT to get to that point…
