How many seasons of OWL will there be before it's canceled?

Just curious how long everyone thinks OWL will be around for?

I would be surprised if it makes it past 3 seasons.

Better hope there’s a lot. Because if OWL gets cancelled, chances are Overwatch gets cancelled.

A good few seasons. I can’t see it going away anytime soon. Which is great, because I enjoy watching OWL.

it’s blizzard. OWL will be around 20 years from now even if it’s been losing them money, because if there is one thing blizzard never does it is admit their mistakes and change course.

Not sure what you meant to mean.

But there’s roughly 3 Billion dollars invested in OWL right now.

If that topples down, it’s going to hurt Blizzard a lot financially.

They deserve it, no? :neutral_face: They’re pretty cruel to anyone who’s not involved with the league.

Besides, I took a nice, long hiatus from the game last year, and I found so much peace. :relaxed: I really do think it would be good for people if Overwatch stopped (at least for a while).

Hopefully not for a long time. If it fails soon Blizzard would crash as a company.

OWL will never be a thing. This game is too complicated for the average gamer. If you’ve never played the game before you won’t understand whats going on and you are less likely to watch it. And people who are not gamer’s will DEFINITELY not watch it.
The only games the average person will be able to watch and MAYBE enjoy, is FPS like CS: GO or Fortnite (as much as I hate to admit that). Games like LoL, DOTA, etc all have concepts that unless you’ve play the game before, the average person just won’t understand/comprehend. Thus they will lose interest in things they don’t understand, thus view rating will drop.

Yeah, this is actually a frequent complaint I hear from my friends who have tried watching OWL. They feel there’s too much going on, and they can’t keep track of everything, so they feel like they just wind up missing stuff

Nah, OWL needs to get deleted permanently then OW has to go F2P and we will be fine.

There might not be an OW after that, heck there might not be a Blizzard after that.

If the OWL fail blizz will give up one the game. And they will work on other game.
