How many OW2 skins are available by purchase with money used to get coins to pay for them?
It seems you can kinda get any skin with credits with a bit of grinding the free battle pass, but you won’t get them at the same rate as OW1. Anything that requires Overwatch Coins will take you months of grinding for a single purchase unless you fork over about $13 for the chance to grind some more. If you don’t grind the battle pass but pay for it, it’s pretty much flushing your money down the toilet because they will retire the battlepass and you can’t earn them back.
Nope. With the free BP you can only get the common skins.
For every other skin, you can only get the coins for those by either paying an obscene amount of money for the coins or doing the weeklies, in which you can only get 60 coins a week, meaning you’d have to do grind out the weekly quests for anywhere between 3.8 months to 5.8 months for a single skin. For the Kiriko, Ramattra, Junker Queen and Sojourn skins, you’d need to grind for 7.3 months.
Blizzard is an anti-consumer company at this point, with not a clue about proper marketing. Don’t encourage their crappy business model by buying the skins, it’ll just tell them that what they’re doing is perfectly fine.
If you have access to microsoft rewards you can earn reward points and use those reward points to get the premium currency for Overwatch that they have as a reward (10,000 for 1,000 coins)
For the free path:
~10 battle pass skins every second season using weekly challenge coins
plus ~2 battle pass skins on the free track for every other pass you don’t buy
plus ~1-2 skins from event challenges per season
plus at least 2 skins for each new hero, which you can purchase using the credits gained from passes
For the paid path:
All of them
Eh? I saw some purple quality rares for credits like on junkrat. The epic skin Caution for example is 250 credits.
It’s not just commons, pretty sure it’s all the available OW1 skins you can buy with the normal credits.
Check again, the credits for common skins are different for the other skins.
Again, check again. The credits are different. There’s currency for commons, every other skin, OWL skins, and golden weapons. The currency in the BP is only for common skins.
I can’t check because I don’t have a lot of credits. It won’t show you the option to buy them with the white ones unless you have enough.
Checked again, 4 epic skins on junkrat I can buy, 250 credits each.
It took a lot of checking, and I will concede that the old epic skins use the same currency as the common skins. Took a minute to find a character who I didn’t have all of the epics for, apart from the new characters whose epic skins use the same currency as the legendary skins.
However, my point still stands, the currency in the BP is practically useless, only allowing to get common skins and the epic skins that were already in the game. Anything new requires the legendary credits that are basically forcing you to spend money.
Yea, but this also mostly what I said, but you used different words. heh Also it’s not just common or epic. You can get rares with credits as well.
