How many in-game reports do you make per day?

On average, I usually report about 1-2 players per day or game session. These game sessions can last 1-2 hours usually and I can play multiple games in that amount of time, depending on my role. It’s very common to see someone using foul language, being toxic in chat or talking down to others for various reasons.

I usually get one “thank you for reporting” message upon every login, that goes to show that Blizzard is taking action and there’s a ton of toxicity still rampant. On average, how often do you use the report function? I wish I didn’t have to report as many people as I do, but I have 0 tolerance for those being toxic or abusive in chat.

it depends on the weather honestly

some days everyone is super nice and fun

most toxic thing they will do is spam melee me in spawn or say “No.”

other days i have to report people for spam, racism, sexism, bigotry, threats, and throwing all within the span of a couple of hours

its hard to quantify

0 because I’ve hidden chat, tried reporting them before but they don’t get actioned even though they actually did say racist slurs, so no point for me to turn on chat if toxic players aren’t getting punished.

None, not my job to moderate the game.

Blizzard isn’t doing anything, their automated system is banning people for reaching x number of reports. They don’t lift a single finger.

My guy blizzard does nothing because they have allowed the playerbase to believe they have the power to do so, let them do the work stop doing the job of others for free.

They don’t care. They’re not going to pay people to review matches or reports. If we stop reporting, literally all that will happen is that nobody that deserves to be banned will EVER be banned. The game will be completely rife with cheaters, throwers and racists and all the other players will quit.

They are letting the players do the work they should be doing, I would highly advise you all to have respect for the time you put in as to not do anything without being paid, it’s not our job to do the job of others.

Oh okay I’ll just sit back and let toxic people take over and ruin the game more than it already is, great idea. I’ll just let all those cheaters get away with it.

My guy, it’s not your job, have respect for your own time and let them hire people to do it.

They literally will not, ever. You’re a fool if you think they will.

Because you do it for them, why would they.

Your logic is honestly dumb.

The people doing the jobs of others are dumb, my logic is sound.

ok but we dont live in 3077 watch_dogs legion world where the AI government arrests you before you even think about committing a crime… i dont know what other solution there is other than hiring 100 million moderators, one for each player

Why would a company as greedy and selfish as Blizzard, who has shown time and time again they could not care less about the playerbase, suddenly start hiring people to do something they literally don’t have to do just because nobody is reporting anymore?

They wouldn’t, and this entire argument is moot anyway because you would never in a million years get the entire playerbase to stop using the report tool.

For me I would never do the job for a company and work for free, if you think your time is not worth anything then fine but if less people thought like that they would need to take action themselves.

This is like getting punched in the face and saying “not my problem, i’m not the police”.

i dont even know it depends on how games are going like ive encountered toxic people and even people with sus as heck aim i honestly felt bad for one of my opponents even though i killed them more than once their team was trying but i also taken advantage of catching the healer off guard

If you get punched in the face and want to take the legal route it isn’t your problem it is on the police.

Actually, I think you just got it.
