How many heroes do you think they'll make?

Do you think it’ll go on indefinitely or do you think they’ll stop at a specific number?

Well it all depends if they are planning on making a sequel or continuing production of this onr

They’ll just keep going until the game stops making money. Maybe there’ll Overwatch 2, 3, 4 etc, but it’ll continue.

They started with too many, and it’s why this game is so unbalanced and losing real FPS players. Blizz can’t balance anything, and it shows everytime they add a new hero, or “buff” or “nerf” anything. You would think they didn’t test the game at all before releaase…

I’m sure they’ll continue making heroes for several years, and maybe it’ll start to slow down, to maybe even 1 hero a year. But it all depends entirely on how long the game lasts.

It’s hard to say with this game’s format. Games with similar update cycles almost always suffer from what I call the “free-to-play curse,” in which content is constantly added by necessity (because it’s the game’s source of monetization) until there’s so much content that it’s just making the game worse.

Overwatch, however, isn’t free-to-play and doesn’t directly tie monetization to new characters… so I’m not sure how to gauge it.

IIRC, Jeff said in an interview that they’ll keep going, even if the game ends up having 50+ heroes.

Then again with the current rate of hero production, it’d take around 7 years to get to that number.

Blizzard isn’t huge on sequels, they have some sure but their biggest profit makers are originals.

40-50 around that number.

If you want a pure fps, OW is definitely not your game. Mechanical skill alone won’t get you very far. Ow was never meant to be an fps kind of game in the first place. At least not if you think of it as being some kind of coD or Cs

The life of this game could be as long as 5 years, maybe even longer if overwatch league pans out. So that means we can expect possibly 12 more characters at this rate.
