Im just interested in knowing, and probably comparing it to other games like paladins or tf2.
Are there any stats of concurrent players, you know like steam charts?
They like to spout the number 40 million accounts.
I’d say between 5 and 10 million of that are inactive or smurf accounts, just as a guess
So 30 to 35 million players across three platforms and in four regions.
In a statement by Blizzard to shareholders in August, there was 37 million concurrent active users (defined by playing more than 2 hours per week) among all regions for all of Blizzard’s games including Overwatch.

Interesting, thanks!
Hopefully they get a more recent shareholder concurrent players.
I just edited my post with an updated article
Oh alright

Wait… karabasts… I actually updated with an older article… reverting.
I wonder how that takes smurf and alternative accounts.
As a matter of personal opinion, I think that number refers to accounts and not actual people, but that is something we are not likely to find out.
Last question, how many players does OW have specifically.
Specifically
Or is it still 40 million
The last known publicized update was that Overwatch hit the 40 million mark last May, but there have been no details since.
Okay. Then that means my guess is probably pretty close
Also
karabasts
I know where this comes from
I guess ill just say the game has 5m Concurrent players.
Thanks a lot for the info
Defined by playing more than 2 hours a week. Yea thats active
