since we only got Sojorun i assume she is the only new character fully developed right now? because i thought overwatch league were playing on either the beta or overwatch 2?(for example junkertown doesnt exist on the beta while it most likely will in overwatch 2)
Personally I find it hard to believe that they went from fully developing 3 heroes per year to only fully developing 1 hero across multiple years. Especially given maps and heroes seemed to take a similar amount of time to make and we’re getting 8+ new maps.
The most likely reason for not showing any new heroes is marketing. In fact Andy himself confirmed that a little while ago. New heroes generate a lot of hype, and it makes sense to generate that hype closer to the game’s release.

they said that OW2 would have atleast 6 new heros i believe, and it was supposed to release last year, however it was delayed. Whether the heros were a part of that cant be known.
Id say they have atleast 4 total including sojourn

thank you that would make sense but only having 1 new hero and for them to be a dps was really a missed opportunity on their end imo, especially since support players are usually not having a great time
As of the release of Ashe, Jeff said they had 6 heroes currently in the pipeline, including Ashe. That’s Ashe, Baptiste, Sigma (who was probably still Mauga at the time), Echo and Sojourn. So at least one more from that group, back in 2018.
Junker Queen leaks from a while ago are pretty much confirmed since the OW2 ability icon art style, which wasn’t known to the public at the time, lines up extremely well.
So absolute bare minimum of 1, and it’s probably Junker Queen. Anything beyond that is just speculation.
other than 2cap, all old maps will come back including some new ones that aren’t in the beta like Rio de Janeiro and India.
