maybe but with Spotify you have access to a gigantic music library that would otherwise cost you thousands if you paid for everything individually. Consider that an album by a band costs around 50 bucks each.
The equivalent of what you are spending to what you get is far greater on spotify.
Spotify is 32€ per year for me.
Honestly at this point I just hope there’s no gameplay impact. I do like skins but I won’t buy them for money if the grind is too long.
Is it? Blizzard is trying to design a system that does exactly this
I’m not sure where you got this information, but IF TRUE that would be completely ridiculous and kill this “F2P” game. Every F2P game gives you currency to purchase the next battle pass. Then again…this is Blizzard and they have reached astonishingly low levels lately with monetization. I will also say that if this is true it would absolutely turn me off from playing this game.
I don’t know where you’re getting a 350 Euro sum from. You’re looking more along the lines of $60. Oh, you meant over 6 years. 52 weeks in a year, each season is 9 weeks. 52 / 9 = 5.7, round it up to 6. BP is purchasable via ingame currency, already confirmed to be 1,000 OW2 coins. Since the average blizzard BP (HS, D:I) is ~$10, it’s safe to assume that’ll be the case for OW2 as well. So $60/yr
None
If I do anything with OW2 I will get the Watchpoint Pack again (already purchased it once but got a refund). Not sure, waiting to see if it even goes on a slight discount or what else occurs between now and launch.
There wasn’t a point to buy it when I did.
yes it is. You act like making money off the game is bad
the market has changed and ow1 isnt making anything
well since i got the watchpoint pack so that means i get the first one free and whatever the 2000 currency is i guess ill get a test run. if it seems to grindy then that will be a big turn off to buy another one unless it has heroes that im interested in.
would be cool as people say to earn currency to buy another battle pass outright but i dont know about that. blizzard strikes me as greedy sometimes i mean they created diablo immortal
we shall see i guess
Oh I have no problem with monetization when it’s done right. blizzard just repeatedly shows that the quality of the product drops sharply the more they monetize it.
My issue with Battle Passes is thinking “oh crap, I better hop on. Haven’t played in a few days, gonna miss out on finishing it.”
Just thinking about thinking that makes me sick
Yea it would be better just to buy it and unlock it like you want it…
Valorant definitely does not.
Zero to 1.
Mainly because especially in October I don’t have that kinda time to commit to a battle pass.
It’s pretty much a job at that point to earn stuff instead of being an experience you play for fun.
Ow 2 won’t be a main game for me because of other multiplayers that I play with friends. Unless it’s a low grind offer I have neither the interest or the time to do repetitive dailies in this expansion pack of a sequel.
Over the years there have hardly been many skins and stuff that I felt like are must-have. Now that there is going to be even more filler stuff I will be pass 99% of the time probably.
Also big yikes if it doesn’t even contain credits.
Probably zero, but would depend on if I like the game or not. I’m playing Warzone right now, and I’d happily buy each battle pass since I think the game is so fun. I sort of feel like it deserves the money. Plus, I bought Cold War, and I had a ton of operators and skin to use in Warzone as well, and that’s a kind of value I wasn’t expecting.
I can’t see why I’d buy a battle pass for Overwatch when my favorite role has been nerfed so much, I’m essentially told that I’m wrong for thinking Tanks should be tanky, and generally I feel like nearly every choice Blizzard made for Overwatch is dumb.
Edit: AND Warzone experience unlocks stuff for you to use in the other COD games too. AND, AND you can use weapons that are in Cold War, Modern Warfare, AND Vangard, so when I’m shooting people with my Black Ops guns, it feels like I’m representing my favorite COD franchise.
Basically, Warzone does enough to make me feel like they care about the time I’m sinking into the game. Overwatch has done the opposite, like they’re saying “How dare you actually be a tank main? What do you mean you play as a Tank to tank?! Dummy, you have that giant shield to use natural cover and not actually block things for your team! Get with the program and play the Damage role!”.
Why would I buy OW’s BP, again?
It is unlikely I will buy any battle passes. I’m willing to spend money on cosmetics if I want them despite the waste. I am willing to grind playing to earn cosmetics I want.
I am not willing to spend money to then grind to earn the cosmetics I want.
I can’t say yet because the content of the battlepasses will determine whether I am interested.
