That’s even worse. They won’t really be that replayable so most are not going to buy them and only play when they are free. When they go away and only people who bought them can play matchmaking will instantly become much harder and take more time. Now jump into future where there are multiple different mission batches and only some fractions of playerbase own any given one. People will pay to own them permanently only to not be able to find groups for them…

If the story mission has a lot of replayability, I might consider it. But given that you need to play with others for this PvE, there’s a chance that I won’t find much players with play with in my region considering how small the playerbase is. So I’m still on the fence as to whether I’ll purchase it or not. It all depends on how worthwhile these “Story Missions” are. Also, 15USD is like 22 dollars in my country.
Like how when you bought Overwatch back in 2016, you were going to just own it and be able to play it forever, right?
2 years from now when the “permanent” story missions go offline or need to be rebought, people will defend it saying “How were they supposed to keep it running and working for a one-time fee? They have to make money somehow, and no, buying it doesn’t count.”

Love that they feature these free legendary skins as a way to get people login and look at their dumb store.
Those skins are old as hell. It’s so pathetic at this point. Whoever is behind the thinking of this game needs to go. In fact, they all need to go.

Overwatch 2 is just the trashiest. Cant deliver what they promised, clamp all their supposed content behind a paywall, and triple down to milk the “players” they’re so apologetic to for lying to.

So when can we expect another “were sorry please forgive us UwU” message from the Devs? They gave us false promises and instead go to nickle and dime us like were a mobile game on the end of its lifecycle.
Was on the Overwatch train since day one, but now Im ready to see it head off to pasture. Blizzard will not be getting a red cent from me anymore for ANY game. This is a joke of what they used to be.

Nowhere in OW1 did it say any of that actually. Actually the ToS said exactly the opposite.
Considering that they are selling permanent access they would have to refund every single purchase if they took said access away which is not the kind of hit a company is willing to take.
