I’m just curious to see how many long time players still play and how many have joined since OW2’s launch.
I’ve been playing for over 8 years (since Christmas in 2016). I took some pretty big breaks from playing during the game’s content drought in the few years leading up to OW2, but other than that, I’ve been playing at least semi-regularly. I have a lot of nostalgia for the early days of OW since I was only 14 when I first played it.
I mainly play custom games or vs AI, only playing QP or arcade for progression purposes. In fact, I’m pretty sure most of my QP and comp playtime was post OW2 because of the battlepass.

I was an OnlyWatcher from the beginning and played the open beta. I am mostly competitive only; however, I have been playing a lot of quickplay to grind lootboxes recently. I am back to competitive and… Um, ban Orisa.
2016-2017ish. It was right after I was fed up with Rainbow Six Siege being consistently ruined for corner campy loser gameplay.
Since season 4 of ow1, around early-mid 2017 I believe
Since like 4 days after launch
Since launch. I stopped playing OW1 in 2019 then came back for OW2.
I started playing with the Switch release, so October 2019. I got the PC version of the game in the summer of 2020

I played a little bit of OW1 back when it came out, but by moth meta I was out. Then I came back to OW2 bc of Kiriko. I take season long breaks every now and then though, like last season.
Played beta, preordered, and been playing since launch.
