The more I think about things, the more I realize that the player base has been lied to by the Overwatch developers. From talking about punishing and implementing ways to catch mouse and keyboard users on console, to them claiming Overwatch 2 will have proper PvE. It’s just lies after lies with these folks.
It’s so bad now, that they can’t even hide it anymore when they’re on video talking about things. Because they realize that they’re catching themselves in lies.
Case in point, them talking about how the matchmaking works. For years now people said it was rigged. With thousands upon thousands of samples of evidence, and hundreds of players all saying the same thing. It took them until Overwatch 2, with Jeff Kaplan and Geoff Goodman stepping away from this cesspool to admit that they’ve been doing something funky behind-the-scenes.
But, then again — was this not obvious that they were forcing things? Way back in Overwatch 1, when they removed the numbers of losses being displayed. And refusing to touch on the subject of apparent 50/50 ratios and streaks.
Or, let’s look at how they claim how it took them a year to make the Genji mythic skin. There’s so many lies becoming apparent, that it’s sad. But! I’ll tell you what. You go fork out another $20 for yet another reskin of a Kiriko cosmetic, because omg anime. And tell people to just get good like a good shill.
Todd Howard is still working at Bethesda after the takeover by Microsoft, I’ll leave it to us to find out what the gaming community calls him, so nothing will ever change at ABK, and certainly not this questionable practice.
They’re definitely not telling the whole truth about matchmaking. I think they are honest about there being no rigging or losers queue. What they’re leaving out is that the MM is sacrificing balanced teams in favor of picking 10 players ASAP to prevent high queue times like OW1 had.
In b4 the shills arrive? Nope too late. I feel like the real game is just seeing how long it takes for some individuals to crack and accept that they actually are wrong in agreeing with Blizzard about literally anything at this point, and to accept that they actually have been lied to and completely cheated out of a good experience. Remember every decision for OW2 has been completely unnecessary so far.
They really don’t, and it makes me wonder who these individuals are that are throwing Blizzard cash for the battle passes. For the same money folks are tossing at this awful company for cosmetics, they could be buying multiple games. With DLC included in some cases.
They have never and probably will never even try to do this. I’m pretty sure Ubi is trying now but hasn’t has much success. It really just doesn’t make sense to spend resources on console when It doesn’t crossplay with PC.
They’re (Ubi) implementing “mousetrap” in the next season, which will add input lag to the player if their system (however it works) detects a XIM being used.
The XIM dev or whatever (i dont know, it was in a video i watched) is already looking at a patch though.
I don’t get it ,when did they say the matchmaking was rigged? If anything they said that each match should feel like each team has a 50 50 chance of winning , which is fine ?
The bronze5 bug took 3 tries to “fix”, and we’re still not sure it’s fixed, because any fix is buried within the horrendous MM. There are still replay code bugs, nameplate issues, aim/sense problems, skins not showing up, etc.
