How is Ramattra not just Omnic Doomfist?

(Tank Doomfist) The Big Bad Boss of the Evil Organization known as Talon.

Can Punch Stuff Really Hard.

(Tank Ramattra) The Big Bad Boss of the Evil Organization known as Null Sector.

Can Punch Stuff Really Hard.

(Note: List of comparable stuff will likely just increase in the future.)

Tbh, makes me think of Sigma with a Winston Ult.

Just saying storying building wise… it’s lazy.

It’s basically just a second Voldemort.

im pretty sure ramattra has a timer on his nemesis mode and doomfist has way more mobility whereas ram has none

I’d say it’s more like Zenyatta is Dr. Xavier from the X-Men.

And Ramattra is Magneto.

Like Winston and Doomfist?

Hmmm kinda…

Assuming Doom cares about benefiting people in a Thanos kind of way.

Although the difference is one is helping out a minority group, the other is helping out a majority group.

I.e. Mutants / Omnics being a minority group.

Honestly this story formula needs a huge twist

Or it’s just going to fall in itself.

We need better overall evil villain, someone who we will never expect.

Doomfist does not punch hard, not anymore. A little girl has a better chance of knocking out your average Overwatch hero.

Also it just occurs to me that Thanos has a really powerful metal gauntlet capable of leveling skyscrappers…

Heh.

How is Sombra not just Tracer?

I mean, they can both teleport and they both have guns.

See? I can make lazy comparisons too.

(Again note: we are still missing movement context on Ram abilities and Ult.)

Which is stupid, if it is the case.

What’s the point of being a stance switcher if he doesn’t have full control over his shift?

“Yeah, but this one, we can make fun to play and effective and get people to buy a battle pass to play.”

With Storm Rising we watched them force Doom to pass the plot torch.

Like, for all of Overwatch it was building Doomfist up with getting his Gauntlet back, breaking him out of prison, having him eliminate his enemies on the Talon council and reclaim his spot. All the while introducing an opposing hero literally BUILT to fight him.

Ok, so we’ve got Doomfist in place. He’s about to make some big moves with Talon!
And his first move is to…hand things off to Ramattra and Null Sector.

Overwatch 1 ends. Roll credits.
****ing hell?

Overwatch 2 picks up the story and Doomfist is gutted into the ground, irrelevant to the game and story, literally pushed into the trash heap purposefully abandoned for battle pass cash, probably until at least Season 3. Because their worthless little tweaks coming in December (if they even happen and they don’t screw it up again) will be a nothing burger.

I think we are about learn how big Null Sector actually is with the upcoming PvE.

And how Omnics might be getting replaced

Why? You’ll just complain about them too, just like do about literally everything else.

I’m curious if an omnic was previously human (I.e. Encased fleshy brain in a metal body)

Or a download of a human brain into an artificial brain.

Or entirely AI driven self aware machines.

They are likely going to leave this vague for alot of religion backlash reasons.

Our back water world is still not ready to process that.

But you can see, it would have very different story implications based on which one of those options it is.

Not if it was someone we know that was “good”.

(Looking at Tracer and Mei as possible candidates for the true big bad.)
