How I would Balance Symmetra & Make her a more Well Rounded Hero

They are at the same range, but Sym still has lower damage, worse scaling and less survivability. How do you think she can contest Zarya when she is literally in the same range that Zarya who has more damage AND HP that her.

No its because it works much better and allows you to use corners to juke and evade incoming fire, instead of having to stay there for 4s to get what other heroes get for free with 5 times the range.

Same range, yes. Lower damage, depends on Zaryas charge & if Symmetra is using her turrets as well. Less scaling, not sure what you mean by that? Iā€™m thinking you mean Zarya 90-170dps vs. Sym 60-150dps (with my suggestion) Less survivability, yes, but thatā€™s why Sym utilizes her turrets & TP. To pick fights when she wants, where she wants & how she wants. Sym really shouldnā€™t be trying to 1v1 Zarya, but at least if Zarya is pushing her she can fight back instead of praying she can hit 1 orb before she dies.

Currently Sym canā€™t contest Zarya because Zarya out ranges her.
With a 15m beam Sym can contest Zarya because she would have the same range.

Contest =/= 1v1 & win. Currently, Sym canā€™t do much of anything vs. Zarya. With an even beam length she could at least deter her.

Her orb takes 1 second to fully charge & would reach Zarya in about 0.6 seconds. So in 1.6 seconds if you get a direct hit you deal 120 damage. With my suggested changes, Sym could be dealing 150DPS. Iā€™d rather have the latter considering thereā€™s a good chance Zarya can dodge the orb at that range.

Itā€™s interesting but also sad how you use the worst case scenario in every comment. Itā€™s like you assume you will always be level 1 chargeā€¦ :man_facepalming:

Very simply as Iā€™ve said several times, I want her beam to have a slightly longer range to make her better at mid range since her orbs are already good at close range. Not a hard concept

I want 250 HP and 15m beam. I think 15m beam should be standard. Zarya has 15m, Mercy has 15m, Moira has 20m, Echo has 17m. All of these heroes either have better mobility or more self defense and self sustain than Symmetra.

And 250 HP puts her in line with all other melee DPS like Mei, Doom, and Reaper. It also gives her better anti-dive potential to not get ran over which would be healthy for her and the game IMO.
