How I learned Superjump Personally - 1000 Hour Mercy Main

Steps listed assuming you have normal settings:

  1. Put middle finger on shift and ring finger on ctrl (don’t touch anything else on your keyboard)
  2. Hear the “fshh” sound
  3. Press space right after it (if you are at a normal distance or the furthest) and press space as it happens (if you’re at a very close proximity)

I made this tutorial because none of the other GA tutorials helped me. I didn’t get the whole precision with “when you are at the closest distance.” I recognized there’s a sound effect whenever I pressed GA, and I realized I could use it to figure out my timing. Upon doing that, I taught myself how to do the superjump consistently. In some time after using the sound, you will develop a natural instinct. I can’t help you with telling you how precise the distance is relative to the sound, but you can experiment that with it yourself. I just know the closer you are, the faster you want to press it after the sound initially begins.

Here’s a video version to show it.

Thanks, no guide has worked for me either. Do you hold shift and ctrl? Or tap them?

Tap them, let go, press space when you hear

Is a guide really neccessary for something so simple

Doesn’t hurt to learn. What’s wrong with needing a bit of extra help?

Nothing Im just surprised people have so much trouble with it. But its alright. Hopefully some mercies find this useful! I was teaching the super jump to a friend recently… He didnt even know you could do that! Haha. He was like “o.O” when he saw it. Crazy that some people still dont know about this super fun mechanic.

I hope it stays in OW2. Its sooo cool lol.

Bind GA to shift, bind crouch to a thumb button on the side of your mouse. It’s that easy, and you can learn the timing for superjump rez (medium jump), a short jump, or the max superjump.

Also, rapidly pressing spacebar makes it so you float down without opening your wings, so you’re harder to hit.
