For the first time, I got the “demotion protection” notification after losing a game at Plat 5, and every game is a calibration game for me. Every win nets me a 55%+ increase, every loss only takes away 3-16%. The biggest jump I had was gold 1 from 0% to winning just two games and jumping halfway to Plat 4. Mind you, I’ve already done my placements.
For more context, I was already diamond, but last month I was throwing a few games because of how annoying my teammates were, even if we’re winning. Ended up in gold, had a very good time smurfing. So I’m wondering, is the system forcefully trying to bring me back up and keep me up? I don’t mind tbh, just curious if anyone else has been going through this.
