I really want to try out role queue but competitive is the only form of queuing available right now. Normally I’d never queue for comp because it’s just not my cup of tea, but somebody told me PTR comp isn’t real comp and the points don’t count for anything? Is that true? Do the results show up on your career profile or?
I read the Role Queue page and I only seen information for the beta season that isn’t until August.
nothing you do on ptr carries over.
So play it as if it was quickplay and chill.
How the PTR works is such.
Every new iteration they’ll take a snapshot of your live account and let you play that.
Anything you do on live will carry over on the PTR. In terms of MMR, it’s often EXTREMELY loose to make up for the fact that they don’t really care about making fair games and are looking for quantity over quality, but they will still try and match you based on your live MMR.
Mines about mid-Diamond, so I get everything from Gold to GM in my games.
However, nothing you do on PTR will carry over to live. Your PTR account changes will simply be erased as your PTR account is replaced with another snapshot of your live account next iteration.
PTR is more for testing than anything, just play your best and don’t worry overtly about win/lose for now. It’s doubtful the sr you get in ptr will carry over, since the devs know not every player plays ptr and the ranks would be still a bit skewed for now.
