I went on the wiki and it says its 1000 credits and I got 1000 credits but it does not appear on the gallery, so like can i actually use credits on it or do i have spend 20 bucks

Did a tiny bit of research and surprised myself honestly…

So, apparently the skin was indeed available in Overwatch 1 through lootboxes, however I guess in Overwatch 2 the only way to obtain it was through the Watchpoint pack? Atleast thats what it says when I hover the skin in game as of 04/07/23

I’m not sure either but it was only obtained through an event. After that I think it went into loot boxes but haven’t seen anything else about it for OW2.

Some clarification for newbies about this skin :hugs::

  • originally this skin (and also genji oni skin) was obtainable for free by playing heroes of the storm, on the occasion of the reworking of the game rules (hots 2.0) and for homage of the releases of genji and d.va in that moba game;
  • d.va officer ski were later available in ow1 lootoboxes, or unlockable with 1000 credits;
  • Ow2 has “rewritten” the rules of obtaining old content, blocking them behind the weekly shop during season 1 and significantly increasing the price (1900 credis);

now, there’s a doubt that I don’t understand: starting by season 3 devs said that all ow1 content would be available by going to the heroes gallery and being able to choose whether to pay 1500 credits (in battle pass) or tokens, and d.va officer is an ow1 skin. So I ask you these questions:

  • have you tried setting the hero gallery filter to ‘legendary’ and have you checked the availability of d.va officer?
  • does the skin cost 1500 credits / coins or does it not allow you to buy it?
  • not sure if the watchpoint package allows you to receive the skin, check the specifics of its content very well;

I have the skin, just trying to help. Sorry if it sounded clueless. Wasn’t sure since I have it already.

Wish it rotated in the shop more often for those who want it. (Or the gallery works as intended, you know…)

Yeah, so it seems that the skin WAS available for 1000 on OW1, but since it had the backstory that it did, they decided that it would be watchpoint only (if you didnt have it before) and it currently unobtainable for anyone without it.

if the gallery in which you select d.va officer indicates the watchpoint directly then you can be safe: you can find that content by purchasing the watchpoint.

The wikias aren’t updated if they says “1000 credits” as price, sorry :pensive:

The only current way AFAIK is to own Legendary or Watchpoint editions, which are currently out of game, but they haven’t been listed as “last chance” or anything so they could be coming back in the future, or the skins might return in their own separate pack, but if this was to happen nobody knows when.

Apparently if you’re on Xbox you can still buy the Legendary edition sold and dispatched by reputable companies, so maybe you can get it still. Though I only checked Amazon (Amazon UK) and it was sold and dispatched by them for £20.95. I cannot confirm whether or not these codes still work, so it would be at your own risk.
