Does it affect still or just after first 50 QP wins? Should I create a new account?
Have a main account where you buy skins here and there and chill in quickplay. Then make as many alt accounts as you want to play competitive.
Probably will do that. So does MMR affect always? I want to learn that.
Useless, vague information. The devs have explicitly said they don’t want to talk about how it all works since they fear that people will game the system. MMR, SR, it doesn’t matter at all anymore. If you play for long enough you can reach any desired rank.
This. Play and focus on enjoyment and improvements and you’ll always end up where you should be.
Anyone who tells you any of the systems are broken and blah blah blah…
- they aren’t
- if they were, they are broken for everyone so just get on with it.
Unfortunately it doesn’t work that way.
Stats aren’t used in calculating MMR and ranks.
bad teams, so you cannot carry, understand?
LOL
I am saying that personal performance is often not a determining factor. There’s nothing you can do if your team is garbage.
Team is performing like garbage.
1 bad game does not make a bad player.
People will also blame that on the match maker, because they are deluding themselves. Sometimes, people just play badly, or give up, or don’t pay attention.
Thank you. What I understand from the text is that personal performances do not matter. And I guess MMR changes every match. In this case, is it true that the fact that I played very badly at the beginning of the game and lost a lot of matches is related to the fact that even though I am a good player now, I am still in bad teams? In this case, I guess I need to open a new account to reach the rank I deserve. Am I correct?
It would help. But even I admit the ranks are meaningless. There’s throwers and potatoes in every rank.
The joy I get at being at a higher rank were less smurfs. But that’s it, and the negative of higher ranks are the bigger egos cause of such devotion to “rank accuracy”, but if I can fool a bunch of diamonds I’m a Smurf going flawless rank accuracy is just an illusion.
I’m more on team “it’s broken for everyone”, I do feel tho whatever windows variables that make loss streaks occur for everyone and can be avoided I don’t like settling and try to push others for not settling for “good enough”.
Guys, can you answer my question please?
MMR is a number, a hidden number. You’ll never see this number and the devs will never say how it really works. All they will say is that it’s based on wins and losses, but how exactly it is based on those is and will remain a guarded secret. It always moves up or down after every match, but we don’t know how much, because the devs don’t want you to know how it works. The number is used for matchmaking, so the visual rank badge is almost always misaligned with this number. It’s always there, and there’s one for Quickplay separate from that used in Ranked. It’s also a different number for each role you play, and if you don’t play for a year it might go down a bit (decay).
Yes it’s established after 50qp games. But from what I know there’s two parts to it, uncertainty and the “value”.
The value is used to group folks with the same value.
The “uncertainty” helps adjust the mmr after each game.
Mmr goes up or down based on the outcome of the game if it’s a “win” or a loss (which includes draws).
Just play on your main, it will correct over time. if u are a good player
It doesn’t work mate, I tried a lot. I will create a new account.
Smart move. Never play competitive on your main account, since it can lead to all sorts of bugs and weird matchmaking. Make a new account, grind it to wherever you can, then rinse and repeat if you hit any issues or get bored.
that also works, just create 10 alt accounts
