How does D.VA NOT have a SC2 Viking Skin yet?!

In lore D.VA was the top SC2 player in the world at SIXTEEN YEARS OLD. You’d think the very first custom mech she built would draw from that, but somehow Blizz completely dropped the ball.

Seriously though, I would give Blizzard ALL my money for a Viking skin that transforms into flight mode when you boost. So sad this isn’t a real thing.

She has a Goliath skin in HOTS.

I would love a Viking skin in Overwatch. It would be an instant purchase for me. I couldn’t find a mock-up, but here’s a Viking for reference. It would be great.

Here’s a mock-up of her as a Thor. It would also work.

Yeah the goliath skin is pretty cool, but her flight mechanic in OW just BEGS for a Viking that transforms.

The challenge I guess is getting the transformation between assault and air modes correct, but they have already demonstrated they can do this with champs like Hammond and Bastion.

Unfortunately she wasn’t a Starcraft pro. That got retconned.

I’m sure Overlord will get a Starcraft skin some day.

Ah i see the retcon, he did however say that her dad is a big fan of SC and she plays it plenty. Either way They are missing a really sick opportunity with the Viking transformation. It would immediately be the coolest skin in overwatch. Certainly cooler than a sponsor plastered all over a mech

They can still make it looks like it even if they don’t make it transform.
Some heroes already got Blizzard IPs skins so it is possible to happen some day.

This too but it doesn’t changes the fact that it is probably the best fit for a skin.

If it doesn’t transform it’s basically a goliath. The appeal for me is the flight form for boost, because pretty much no other hero could take advantage of this. It would just be cool to see blizzard capitalize on it, even if it’s crazy expensive like Legendary skins in HoS.

They will never make it transform simply because it will give gameplay dis/advantage and won’t be able to match the hitboxes correctly.
