No movement acceleration, there is no inertia unless jumping.
Instant crouch - There is practically no animation for the crouch it just teleprots your hitbox into the crouched position
High mobillity - Zoom zoom tracer, Genji dash
Movement headbox swaying characters, ive been trying to learn this character in quickplay and I cant hit anything because of the way players move and I consider my aim pretty good if not above average, 60% Accuracy on Cass with 10% Crit accuracy
50% Accuracy on tracer with 15% crit
And Legendary Eagle in CSGO 15/18 3rd highest rank, Diamond in Valorant Aimlabs ranks me above average in almost everything except tracking.
Yep, so if you come from games with skillful movement, overwatches noob instant accel takes a bit to adjust to. With widow, of tracking, tripwire, and flicks you want to be doing mainly flick shot.
Think about it, in general combat erratic movements are instant so its best to snap the crosshair on target and shoot as fast as possible.
When some guy is AD spamming, you basically make a prediction and flick. Overwatch pros have spoken out how even the best widow aim is inconsistent due to instant accel.
If you have good aim and still not landing hit box, its about learning the hitbox and various abilities of heroes.
Also knowing when to hit heroes like when a genji double jumps or a mercy GAs, a ana or ashe scoped in etc
Its about making the shot easy for your self.
Also know the powerpositions
Being fluid, also knowing when body shots or shots on tanks are good with, your rein is swinging at enemy rein its worth taking a shot at enemy rein, cause you will deplete his armor in one shot.
Also in match up against tracer you dont need to go for head shot, have a mine alarm for flank route, then a body shot is good if she get mined and doesnt recall. bodyshot and then spray her.
Ive been playing the game for a while its just hard to get the headshots because of crouch spam.
Cass and Tracer feel like easy mode compared to widowmaker…
yep, the instant changing of the head hitbox due to crouch or lean makes it inconsistent. Obviously you can get better and better, but spazzing adadcdca like a deranged monkey is a legit tactic vs widow in this game and you can never be as consistent as csgo
In valorant, all the playermodel have the same proportion for competitive integrity. In Overwatch, every hero has varying proportion between head and torso. So you need to learn every character’s critical hitbox. On top of that, playermodels can wear skins which can make it harder to do headshots if you’re not used to seeing that skin.
Idk the people I go against dont have bad movement they AD strafe crouch spam at random intervals and on tracer they will blink behind me and as soon as im about to turn round they will blink infront of me again
Maybe EU is different because everyone in EU plays CSGO so they have decent movement.
my advice is to not shoot at people aware of you
when they are just lock your mouse head level and wait for them to walk in
i came from arena shooters so fast moving targets has been something ive always dealt withi think the best way of dealing with the games abnormal movement speed is to predict rather than react
1 frame flicks. Overwatch forces hard aim. The more problem is that every character that counters widow has the mobility with 3x faster cooldown than widow’s escape tool. Esp ball, which is simply fat tracer with vertical mobility.
