How does a multi billion dollar company mess up this hard?

Surely there should be people that know how to balance this game. How is it THAT hard to see the community backlash?

It just doesn’t make sense to me. Overwatch to me and my friend group has become a “dead game”. Everyone talking about it seems to think there is a problem with it. So many heroes aren’t balanced for 2/2/2, patches take way too long to even go onto the PTR, then from there way too long to go to live. How is a game run by this many talented people falling down so fast?

How is OWL still the main topic in balancing and updating? I just think they need to understand the difference between a playerbase’s happiness and the amount of money they get. But, this will never happen, because companies are all about money, and not about making people happy.

Sorry for the rant, but now I’m gonna go queue for some tank comp! Wish me luck.

Ugh, here I go again, going back to this game for some reason…

The answer is in the title. They’re not trying to make balanced, fun, or even good games, they’re chasing the dollar. They’ll leave OW as a weeping husk and move on to the next thing that sells.

maybe they took bets on how long they can keep 222 going with zero balancing.

it’s weird that 2-2-2 had to be a thing when they could’ve just reworked brig earlier or at the very worst limit support to 2 while the rest of the slots are fluid

no lock is what made and broke several heroes, particularly reaper, orisa, and mei who were always strong but were counterable with heavy dps or blitzing with tanks, and without those options they’re quite overwhelming

the game needs many things toned down (shields, healing, damage) but with the slow rate of balance i don’t expect a healthy meta for quite a while
