I LEGIT got over 95% losses on ONLY that map… the other two are winable, but whenever i play on temple i always lose, does not matter if im healer, tank or dps… its CURSED for me
Hitscan… that’s about all you can run DPS wise on a map where it’s pretty much just open space. That or torb in the corner, but mostly hitscan.
Ball sig, or double shield.
Mercy pocketing one of the hitscans with a bap.
I hate that map but my only advice is to not stand on point after taking it because you will be exposed.
You should try holding out the upper temple near the mega pack and then rotate on top of the opponents’ supports if they decide to try and walk mid to the point. Playing the position right there can be game changing in this map. However this is one of the blandest maps with lots of open space so the victory will come down to which team is better, specifically their DPS, and then which team is more willing to win it. The team with the best hitscans tend to win the map, but this is a map where it’s easy to also play Winston/Ball which can crush hit-scan DPS if their teammates don’t play around them, especially the supports
It’s a wonky map and sometimes there’s absolutely nothing you can do by yourself or as a duo to win it because of how the map is built. It kinda is what it is
You win the same as with any map series. Make less mistakes than the other team.
don’t listen to players that tell you there’s only one way to win either. I.E. having to go hitscan doesn’t promise you a W. There’s always going to be better ways to improve your odds, but nothing is set in stone.
Control the angles, it’s the most important thing about that map. Since it’s so open with so little cover if you lodge yourself on a good angle you are not only very hard to approach but you can also do a lot of damage. Ana is really good at hardcarrying that map. Ball is an amazing tank for temple. Take control of them and deny them from the enemy
If you mean the busan map with the drum in the middle, stay away from being out in the open.
That is it, stay high ground, stay out of the center, that is the best way to improve your odds.
Most times I have seen teams lose, is because they try to hold the center, and get picked off one by one. Then it comes down to a 99% to 99% scramble for the win. Same with the meka base.
Well if that’s true then I’d just take a look at what the enemy team is doing, since whatever they’re doing is obviously working.
Soldier…Stay on the outside of the map and focus firepower on OBJ
Dont stick around too long.Rotate…Keep the enemy team guessing
Poke poke poke…Piss’em off
EZ victory
My go-to is to put torb turret half obscured by the gongs on the high ground. Torb turret can still do damage if one of the gun barrels is not obstructed.
A lot depends on the comp you’re running. Take the point and play in the seaside temple if you’re dive based or poke heavy. Have someone mobile who can jump on the point to keep it from flipping.
If you have a more static comp like Rein/Zarya or double shield, take the point and play forward near the floating rock on the enemy team side. Slowly fall back towards the point or the seaside temple as they push in. Make them earn space. It will burn a lot of time, leaving you with a quick win after a retake.
busan temple is like… a game sense test that most maps dont force
Basically the point is a bait. Don’t go to point.
Even if youre running deathball, you must control the highround side first. Thats because even if youre running double shield and go to point and block two+ angles against - and here’s the crucial idea on this map - crossfiring dps, you will get spammed out and lose.
Map control is by FAR more valuable here than point control, because you literally cant hold the point for more than 2 cooldown cycles without controlling the spam angles.
Tanks like WB, and DVA who can flank and play solo excel here because they prey on isolated dps. Supports who themselves arent taking angles and accepting /looking for duels or to hardpocket those duels also tend to be too passive and lose. Dps on this map are actually tanks- not by having shields, but because the only way the team has space is if all the power angles are controlled.
Its a dueling map! It poos on heroes like zarya, and loves heroes like sigma and WB who can spam/flexibly block an angle and take dps 1v1s. Pharmercy is also really good here despite the crap skybox and vertical geometry because pharmercy playstyle is all about forcing duels, taking the fight to the hitscan and fragging. This is one of the best maps for finding and murdering an isolated widow
On this map especially, if the dps are uncontested and are allowed to crossfire, you lose the game.
I mean the other team doesn’t seem to have a prob winning
It’s a hitscan map, so you know what to do.
Playing Doom on this map is true pain.
The point is bait, don’t just charge onto it.
It has a massive drum in the middle for cover and a high ground right next to it. So if any teams are to get that high ground, you would have a harder time shooting them than they have shooting you.
So you either clash with the other team on the high ground or you run Ball and spin around the Drum on the point. You WILL eat some CC if you go Ball btw, but if you knock someone into your team that isn’t a Tank, they should be dead… unless you are team are a bunch of troglodites.
Some things make it easier others. A good sniper can clean up on this map, while a bad one gets nothing done. The main problem though is it’s a snowball map. Honestly I think it’s almost worse than Paris.
What ever team that captures the point first has an insane advantage over the other team. Capturing the objective is easy to contest and hard to capture. Even if you manage to take it, you usually took so much dmg in the process the enemy has Ults to retake it with ease.
Never mind if things go really bad the spawns are pretty horrible on the temple map and you can actually spawn camp the enemy with ease as there is really only one way out of spawn.
