Knowing every player has a health bar, and that it will hit zero with enough persuasion.
What did you just make me read?
Like I don’t know what to tell you, but Team fights are not long drawn out things.
A winning side 99/100 will be decided after the first wave of cooldowns are spent. it’s kind of rare for characters with 7~8 second long cooldowns to get a second use out of them.
If you don’t believe me time when the tanks first makes contact with the enemy teams, and when one team ultimately caps or retreats. ( or in low ranks when their is an obvious point of no return because will feed down their.)
Literally just played 3 matches that were all dragged out into overtime BECAUSE team fights are a slog. The game has always been this way, so I genuinely have no idea where any of this is coming from.
Are you sure we’re the same rank? You look like you have completely separate issues and defending the state of the game based on he says she says.
You haven’t even brought up any of my other points. I’m a dreadful healer and still find infinite utility and value out of Kiriko due to how damn simple her kit is for what it does.
What are you doing nothing but pumping damage into like an orisa all going game or something?
You should be able to get a pick on a squishy with in about 5~10 seconds into a fight or so. So long as your actually focusing them.
Lol.
Lmao.
Blame my entire team because both sides could not capitalise? Both of us were doing the same thing then?
I feel like you’re just making things up now. This has been completely pointless.
Did you just forget Kiriko has TWO evasive abilities that cannot be countered?
200 hp heroes will die in a couple shots/seconds even through healing, unless the enemy is investing cooldowns like lamp or suzu which only really helps to keep the squishies alive of a couple seconds at that.
Also like here:

when the doom punches into my team at a 0:46, the fight was over by 1:05. (edit I lived a little longer then first thought but ya fight was over well before that point) As my team was down to just the soldier that fell back in an attempt to flank.
At which point we had to regroup, and push again.
“It doesn’t happen to me so it isn’t a problem.”
Come on, man.
Don’t make Overwatch the only game you play. Simple as. When it sucks you don’t need patience you just play something else.
I still play Overwatch the most but I also play Apex/FFXIV and a ton of single player games.
This isn’t just a me thing, you can see this all over OWL. And higher level games.
once both the tanks have engaged it’s a one cycle of cooldowns and the fight is over for the most part. (unless like your doom with very short cooldowns)
If it’s stalling past that. Then I’m affraid “YOU” or doing something wrong for the most part. Or that were in some stall meta again like double barrier. (ick)
Also tldr my team one this game 2:1
Apathy.
I play the game for the game because I enjoy it. I expect nothing and give nothing. I do find myself playing less and less though, and someday I’ll just stop.
“You can see this all over OWL.”
What, the league where players are constantly boo’d because they play the exact same mirror matches, that go on to be the most mindnumbing slugfest of all time?
That’s the source of the issue, then. Look at OWL and everything there is apparently daisies. Why do you think Kiriko’s pickrate is so damn high over there?
Kiriko is one least stally characters M8.
She pops suzu, gets everyone 1 second buffer. Then kills precede as normal right after the fact.
Like oh no the clean 2 second focus fire kill turns into 5 seconds.
You have more of an argument with bapt having both a 150 hps healing tool and lamp.
Basically playing to get as high of a rank before I either get bored or take a break.
What an absolutely insane, sweeping statement to make.
Let me remind you, just so you are aware that we are playing the exact same game.
- IM has a 30 second cooldown.
- IM does not provide burst healing.
- IM can be destroyed.
- IM can be countered.
- IM can be blocked.
- IM does not cleanse.
- IM is extremely vulnerable.
- Baptiste has no other escape ability. Kiriko does.
- IM has one job. Create a minimum health threshold. Suzu has 3 jobs in one.
- Suzu’s projectile speed is 20% quicker than IM.
- Suzu is immediate upon contact. IM is not.
- Kiriko can mantle. Baptiste cannot.
- Baptiste’s Healing Burst is a separate ability. Suzu is not.
- Ironic, they remove most CC from the game, just for the heroes with CC to be meta.
Meta’s aren’t created, they’re discovered. Kiriko literally forces the entire team into one palystyle.
Absolutely ridiculous comparison. Pick one or the other, but not both. How is that game design philosophy so difficult to comprehend?
You cannot burst Kiriko effectively enough with a consistent method due to how versatile and mobile she is designed. And that does not even include the disgusting damage drop off she lacks.
Literally the previous OWC they hosted before they gutted 90% of the teams, 12 out of the 36 matches ended in overtime. Kiriko was the second highest selected support throughout the entire cup.
I’m sorry, but I completely disagree and I think your analysis has been based on a tiny sample between games YOU have played, not based on the overall census.
Neither does suzu it heals over a second period.
Suzu can be DM/Blocked by barriers and deflected like any other projectile.
or are you the type to say nade has no coutner?
Doesn’t really need to, you can use corners to keep it from being destroyed early, and just heal up after the duration of nade or burns.
You would be surprised what that jump lets him get away with on some maps.
While kiri might as well not have a cooldown on some of the close range brawl maps that go into rotation. Like the new artic map or a lot of control point in the game.
Can’t really escape if you just end back in LOS of the enemy again. Do to your team being bunched up on a tiny point.
It let you survive burst damage, can keep you alive through status effects and sustain fire through it’s duration. And can force the trade of cooldowns to get rid of it Depending the match up.
like it was denying pins and ults long before Kiri was a thing.
Suzu has travel time and unlike IM can be eaten by d.va or blocked by like a winston bubble or Mauga cage.
??? You mean wall climb? Bapt can also jump into windows kiri simply doesn’t have wall to climb into.
Be it if I’m mixing this up let me know.
Thats actually a detriment to Suzu, as Bapt can space his cooldowns as need be. Suzu can not.
So if you use it to sustain like a soldier about to die to focus fire, you will not have the suzu to live through a junkrat tire.
While bapt can use each cooldown to deal with those situations as need be.
???
Eh mei doom / orisa have some of the strongest and shortest cooldowns CC in the game. Heck mei’s CC is just on her primary fire.
And their far from being meta.
Not a big deal really, it’s going to come back online the moment the next team fight starts. it’s a once per team fight sort of a deal.
brother, I don’t think anyone is being patient, especially on the forums.
idk… the game is still fun enough for me to come back every season as the core gameplay itself is still great. I still play daily but I play less as the season progresses and I get all my rewards.
I did see some patch notes that may be fake, but if they are real there are big changes coming to every hero. Excited if they are going through with that.
Insane analysis, that doesn’t address anything of what I have said. I physically facepalmed at the Mei comment, like that is even comparable. Why do you think Doom and Mei were completely reworked?
A detriment? Behave. It’s a one button that fits all. You don’t need to space it out like Baptiste’s abilities, because Suzu literally does it all for you, and on a much shorter cooldown. You literally just mentioned the issue with lamp whilst staunchly defending Suzu for quite literally the same reason. It’s baffling.
I know it has travel time, which is exactly what I addressed in my previous comment.
I must be getting trolled, so if I am, good lord. There is no way you completely missed the original point, which is how much value Kiriko and Mercy bring for a fraction of the work required.
I am just assuming you don’t want her changed. I wonder why… It couldn’t be because her value is too useful compared to what she has to sacrifice, could it?
i feel like things would be way different if aaron keller was fired bad jeff kaplan was brought back…with evil bobby gone their might be a chance he would comeback
