How do you play New brigitte well?

I versed this brigitte today who absolutely carried the enemy team. It was a rein Dva vs rein dva match up and me and my friend were on tanks but we couldn’t do anything to the other tanks because their brigitte was getting so much value and was basically carrying them.

So how do you play the new brigitte effectively? I’d like to learn her as she now seems like a very skilful character that can get a lot of value

Dunno. But I’m sure Violet knows.

Ok I know this source is not well liked, but watch your Overwatch’s Gm in gold video. It gives an AMAZING guide to brig

She seems to work best when paired with Reinhardt

Or on deathball comps

Basically she is best when she is allowed to get near the enemy and attack them, since thats how she heals

Is this the your overwatch video with the Moira in the thumbnail? If it isn’t I’m not sure which video you’re talking about

I use her in confined areas or space the enemy team will be trying to take up, so I will get the most out of her mace heals, like on point two of Hanamura. I also like her against annoying genjis and tracers.

When you start to play her, focus first and foremost on your own survival.

You have a shield, but you aren’t a tank. Play close to corners. You aren’t a front line character. Your primary is secondary.

Throw repair packs on diving teammates or to heal.

Use whip shot to boop and to proc inspire. Work on landing your whip shots as consistently as possible.

It’s a recent vid with bring in the thumbnail

You play her multitasking your thoughts and alternating aggressive with defensive playstyle.

Master packs
Improve Whip accuracy
These two are for you to keep your consistent healing going. The rest is the extra value you can offer playing Brig.

Ah gotcha thanks man

Here are some tips I have.

  1. Make sure you use your armor packs well. Armor packs are the best triage healing in the game for a squishy who is about to die. They work great on backline heroes who got dived (especially your other support), DPS heroes who are losing a fight, and so on. You can also pre-armor someone who is about to take damage, like a dive hero of any type who is diving. Armor packs are generally less effective on tanks and you don’t want to spend them all keeping the main tank propped up (that should be the other support’s job, and inspire).

  2. Proc inspire whenever you possibly can. Inspire is set off by hitting a player with your flail. You can bonk them with your regular attack or your flail whip. You can regular attack through shields and it has surprising range. Flail whip will be your usual source of procs, though. Hit anyone you can, the other team’s off tank often plays forward without a barrier and makes a good target.

  3. Position behind the front line. You don’t have the survivability to frontline (you also can’t tunnel vision because of your armor packs) and you need to be close to proc inspire and get value from your CC. Brig has to move to the frontline and backline a lot. Use your shield to cover transitions. It has enough hp for that.

  4. Use your CC to mess with divers and throw armor packs to dive targets. You can drastically diminish the usefulness of Winston and Wrecking Ball, and to some extent Tracer, Genji, and Doomfist.

  5. Throw health to people who the main healer can’t serve (like a Widowmaker well out of Moira’s range, or Pharah).

I personally like playing Brig when I can, but usually it’s either abolute carry or getting 0 value.

before anything it’s important to remember you’re talking about a giant hit box and her shield is only 200hp.
so the 1st tip is focused more on composition.
always run a shield with her. either Rein or Orisa+sigma.
Brig’s shield is weak and can not really protect her wall. the shield’s job is to block either burst damage like a D.va bomb or a rip tire. or let her have as a small healing time bonus (more on that in tip #3).

You would usually want to run her with teams that either need a close range cover or brawley teams that can use more damage that goes past shields.
While the most famous combo for a Bastion comp is a Baptiste-Mercy one. if the enemies run a dive and or your 2nd dps is a long range one, Brigitte will usually be a better option than mercy in order to bring the close range cover.

The 2nd tip is countering . because of her big size and close range she can’t do much in the long range, heroes like junkrat,Widow & Pharah will melt you, so never play her against them, not only you"ll die fast but you also don’t get your passive which will result in low healing as well.

The place where you do want to play her is against close composition with spam damage. with dive being the most obvious one.
Heres like Reaper & Tracer are super weak to stuns and armor and playing Brig against them can make a huge difference.

The 3rd tip is remembering you’re a support before anything. you have a lot of armor sure, but your damage is low and her self healing is low but active over time.
you want to stay close to your tank and help them deal with enemies- if your below full hp try going for a hit, and then immidiatly block with your shield for a second before doing so again, that way you’re using the shield to gain more health, healing your team and keeping yourself alive.

4th tip is about her ultimate. While the ultimate can be used offensivly to make sure your team has an advantage, you can also play it in a more deffensive playstyle against some of the more spammy ultimates, against ultimate abillities like Soldiers,Ashe’s, Meis,Hanzo & hog.

5th tip is playing agressive vs playing deffensive. Brig’s value comes from getting close since only then she can get her healing only by close range fight, but at the same time just like previous tip says she can be extremley vurnable.
her shield bush can be used to block enemies but it can also be used to escape and gain a distance between enemies.
her whipe shot at well, can be used to chaise down flankers but can also create distant for escape.
It really deppends on the enemy and yourself, if your hp is high and the enemy is alone feel free to play a little bit more agressive. but if you’re fighting an enemy like Reinhardt or having low health it’s usually just safer to use the abillities to escape.

I Really hope these tips will help

It does have Violet haha. He got 5 accounts to Support T500

User cover, always keep inspire up with Whipshot (if they aren’t in melee range). Use your shield only for Shield Bash and to escape dangerous positioning. Always be giving armor pack to damaged teammates or teammates about to be damaged. Use rally to go extreme aggro or to stall a point.

Brig can support as tank, dps or heal. You should always be doing a little of all of these all the time. It relieves pressure on your teammates and makes up for comps that aren’t ideal.

You either have a shield, or you don’t. You’re dead if you don’t have it, so.

midline, and focus on trading cooldowns for peel or # advantage.

whipshot: rezzing mercies in valk (or when they’re grounded but bash is on cd), or roadhogs hooking, or to displace doomfists, low health targets in IF, or to displace hammonds to make it difficult to dive in, etc etc.

shield bash: pins/punches, roadhog heals, flankers diving in on backline, winstons diving OUT (messes up their trajectory), long reloads, etc…

you stay midline and watch the flow of the fight so that way you can be exactly where you need to be to disrupt the enemy teams advance, and quickly peel for either frontline or backline

A low risk tactic i use to watch the teamfight is hide behind cover in midline with a good view, push against the cover and deploy your shield. It won’t get broken by trash damage but it’ll let you open up your field of vision to hit whipshot and also know whether to peel for backline or frontline until you get used to her. it only becomes higher risk as you move up but with callouts its still low risk
