I don’t want to talk to the enemy team. I’m surprised many people would, but had trouble finding the option to disable
There’s no way to disable it. You can cycle through the channels though. General/Team/All/Whisper.
Will that prevent me from seeing the enemy teams talk? That’s the part I dislike
You can try: Control+Alt+C, Control+Shift+C or type: /hidechat
IDK, personally I’m too focused on the game to read the little notes. I’m not nearly good enough to function and read at the same time. So maybe try that, be bad at video games and you won’t even see it.
According to my deja vu, no.
It seems INSANE that they hide people’s profiles because it’s somehow toxic(???), but don’t have an option the disable the enemy players from directly chatting your team. Mostly console player so never thought about it till recently.
Type /hidechat
You can hide the chat box with Ctrl + Shift + C.
There really needs to be a permanent way leave every channel to hide chat.
The best way is to open the chat options (where you can leave/join team chat and also see who is in the voice chat) you’ll see small icons next to the Team and Match tabs that are squares with 3 lines in them if you click on them so they have a / through them it will hide match and team text chats.
The other option (which will also hide call outs such as “I need healing”) requires you to type /hidechat in the text box
