Call me stupid and terrible at the game. Don’t care. Biggest reason why I hate Ashe is because I hate myself for not knowing the best way to deal with her properly. What’s the best way to deal with Ashe as Genji/DF?
If the ashe is better it can be hard, she is a pretty well rounded hero. But as flankers save a cd for her coachgun.
As genji, if you deflect if she will always be within dash range after using it.
As doom, punch cancel onto her, uppercut, and e her when she coaches.
Thats just the mechanics tho. It comes down alot to positioning and gamesense.
Edit: If only more people on the forums would try to learn the game instead of calling for nerfs without providing any justification. Props to u.
Never run at an Ashe where she can see you. Flank behind them and start shooting. For doomfist use uppercut punch and E to follow her coach gun, or save punch for escape. Genji use dash to follow her coach. Never engage with your movement abilities
Swift Strike/Fan of Blades combo is your best friend against Ashe.
If you hit it perfectly, Ashe will die instantly and won’t have a chance to react with Coach gun. Measuring perfect distance is tricky, but Ashe and Widow are the two easiest targets imo.
As DF, I target her when she’s alone or when I think I can kill her/ any support pocketing her and get away.
During team fights wait for your teammates to bait out her coach gun. Then use the wombo combo to assassinate her( more likely to work if they’re spread out). Don’t even bother if they’re grouped up.
In 1v1 situations bait out coach gun with RP or Uppercut. Then chase after her with your remaining abilities.
Mirror the Ashe
Get close is all I can say and hope shes not being pocketed by a mercy
As Doom, for the most part you’ll deal with her the same way you’d deal with a widow. Major difference is coach gun and dynamite, try to bait out coach gun by shooting her a bit, then close the distance with rp. There’s not much avoiding dynamite, but it won’t kill you if you get hit by it
KarQ just released an updated Genji tip video, check it out if you’re looking for Ashe/Doom help
Use rocket punch to rocket jump next to her and then uppercut. She will shotgun you or face death. After she shotguns you you will have to decide either to chase or to escape with your slam.
That statement is false with a widow only the e shift combo is needed to kill her, versus an Ashe it’s always best to engage with a punch, have her boop you away and then e bullet bullet shift. If you e shift before firing twice, you’ll lock yourself in an arc where she can easily kill you, I’m talking from a masters+ perspective, anywhere else Ashe won’t be able to easily kill you when yuh shift. Also surprising her is the best tactic and if you can find a spot where you can engage with e without her knowing your position do that over punching.
GM dooms have bad game sense it seems
just wait out her cool downs. Don’t dash as Genji towards Ashe if she still has her coach gun because your dash would be wasted.
The problem as Doomfist is that you wasted all of your abilities to kill an Ashe, which probably has a Mercy pocket. So the chance of you dying is really high and (if you kill the Ashe) the Ashe is probably going to be rezzed. Its a trade that just doesn’t work.
engage without dash, fan, deflect the coachgun, cancell deflect ,dash, fan ez kill
It’s such a garbage ability given that most dps and support are 200 and it resets on assist/kill, but extremely effective.
You’d have to wait for your team to initiate first and as Ashe is busy, you strike her. It kinda depends on your tanks.
She honestly does not have any solo counters other than a Widow outside of one shot range.
If the Ashe is isolated, wait for coach gun to be on cooldown and then go full aggressive. If Ashe tries to use close range dynamite, she burns herself and while she’s focusing on shooting the dynamite, she isn’t shooting you.
CAtching of guard as genji, and doesn’t matter how as doomfist, there are multipple ways of oneshotting 90% of the roster as df, and Ashe is not an exception here. Depends on your mechanics.
