How Do you Counter Widow - 2 Questions

  1. Can you still counter widow with the new Reworked Sombra? If yes, how do you change your strategy to do it?

  2. Are there any other DPS heroes that can successfully counter a good widow?

we still have the traditional dive heroes on DPS like tracer and genji to be a mosquito in their ears

If you’re not in high ranks you just kill her. It’s not hard. If you are, you have to have a better Widow. Sombra didn’t even work before :man_shrugging:t4:

it depends on your rank and the map. the higher you go your options become fewer and fewer / your margin of error becomes smaller and smaller.
in Low - mid ranks your skill and Map-knowlege is the most important as you can almost use any hero against a Widow.

genji, lucio, winston, venture, tracer, doomfist, reaper and sombra still is the biggest counter. if i get in range with sombra its pretty much over for widow now since yea sombra has more damage if she lands hack and virus. widow gets one shotted

Yes.
You always could, and her new damage buff to hacked targets makes it easier once you’re in position.

Tracer, Genji, another Widow, Ashe, Hanzo, Mei (with enough effort), Reaper, Sojourn, Symmetra, Venture.

i know this wont help, but, i counter widow by trying to avoid where she’s aiming. If she cant see me…then shes not a problem for me :smiley:

Hanzo is the right answer but you need to be good with him, but if you aren’t in gm sniper maps any flanker should work.
