Hanzo has been destroying my ever since his rework went live and I doubt his nerf is going to have the massive impact it needs to have, so what are good picks to help deal with a hero that has high mobility, high damage at a range and high burst potential up close while playing a supportive role.

A good Rein can protect his team really well from Hanzo. A D.va and/or Winston can ruin Hanzo’s life as well
Dva or Winston can’t deal with Hanzo anymore, that’s why they’re not meta anymore. His storm arrow can almost 100-0 them. Try again.

How is hanzo destroying you? At long range Hanzo cannot follow up attack you. You can easily get into cover after a shot. .
At mid range where he is the strongest, how is he different from Soldier? Since supports have low health. Either Hanzo is gonna miss you completely or one shot you.
At close range where Hanzo is the weakest, you could probably solo him.
That’s cus Winstons and DVA’s are spoiled by the dive meta they think they can just dash in without support.
Hanzo weak at close range? OMEGALUL. Storm arrow.

Yes, storm arrow. The reason Hanzo can beat any DPS in close, medium, and long range now.

Have you even played against the new hanzo, he one shots supports like mad. Spams out damage anytime you get close and if you get into a position where you can beat him he dashes out of range and runs away.
Been doing that before the change. I pick out stupid or unlucky supports. Perhaps that is his job. Your job as support is to avoid a super linear character like Hanzo. It’s not like he is getting behind you.
So what you are whining about has always been Hanzo’s forte.
Dude gtfo my question wasn’t “how easy it it to counter an new hanzo, lelelelelelel” it was “how to I play against him as a support/off tank main.” I really hate this community, you can’t even ask a how to counter question without comments from an unranked player saying “you suck lul git good”.

I already told you. Is this your first FPS? Support shouldnt even be fighting Hanzo. You literally just have to take cover if he is focusing on you. Already you made Hanzo frustrated.

Its not just this troll, its every single post: Balance discussions are flooded with people whining about “Don’t nerf my hero” rather than explaining how they are balanced, or under powered or how a community nerf idea is a bad one. Counter post are flooded with people like Bill Hicks. The game is flooded with people that won’t switch ever, matchmaking is almost always a stomp or be stomped match with limited opportunities for personal impact on the game. Bring up a role select to fix the issue and people whine about how its going to make DPS have an eternal queue and if you say at least they can play a fair match they turn around and say the games about switching.
I hate this community, I hate this game and the only reason I play it is because of my friends that play it which are the few moments of enjoyment I get out of a game I bought specifically for the team aspect.
Well, that’s why you have to be cognizant of when Hanzo had used his storm arrow or not. As soon as he has used it - you jump him. I promise you it will work. I know it does because I have tried it tons of times w/ success and I am an average player
Yeah I tried that all that ended up happening was mercy pocketed him and he killed me team games gotta love em.
Something I personally use more often is playing Genji and deflecting in his face when he is attacking someone w/ storm arrow. I guarantee you the Hanzo player will shoot you 9/10 times and get either killed or severely wounded.
So what you’re saying is 1 trick mei and freeze the hanzo one tricks

I still think shielding is the best way to make Hanzo useless. It’s super frustrating to not be able to pop heads despite getting different positioning.
