Mine is literally my name and bunch of numbers that kinda fit and felt good, however I’d like to know in what does people base when creating their own nickname. Most of those are pretty cool and I’ve wanted to change mine 2 years ago but no idea what fits with me
So, creative cool-nickname people. Tell me your secret (please)
Favourite characters from shows. Apparently it’s also a word in some Scandinavian languages and sometimes get messages I can’t understand.
My main account’s name (Chinloaf) came from an interaction with my gf where she called me fat in a creative way so I really like it. ThousandFold is just katana memes. Another name I sometimes use is from another person who twisted my name into cutesy stuff. So just take things significant to you and your life and/or is fun/funny to you and the name will naturally come.
Uhm, so…
There’s this story in the cartoon “Cow and Chicken” - with a cat who gets magically enchanted, and then run over by a truck. The truck driver sees the cat is still alive, albeit very flat, so he takes the cat and throws it like a damn frisbee into the forest.
Forever after, the cat flew around the forest, and helped open up cans of people camping that forgot a can opener. I believe it’s called “Sail cat” in English, but the translation to danish is “Fladkat” which straight up means Flat Cat.
When I was like 15 years old, I had a friend over, and we heard some rustling outside the window, and I casually said “Maybe it was flat cat”. He burst into tears laughing for like 30 minutes, as did I.
We’ve been friends ever since, that’s 15 years ago now.
So that’s where my name comes from.
Stole it from a podcast.
Eld Fen Fennel cookies just tickled me pink.
Endeavour
~earnest, prolonged, and industrious effort.
I liked the meaning of the word. Funny enough; My Hero Academia comes along and everyone keeps asking me whether or not that is why I chose it. (one of the characters is called as such).
I predicted that since I spent my youth on Blizzard games instead of pursuing a career or an education, that I would eventually end up homeless.
I guess now I can change my battletag to Farseer.
About 20 years ago in StarCraft, I was very uncreative about naming things (which hasn’t changed) and was also a kid. I named myself something to the effect of “Da Bomb” and eventually renamed to “Bomber” when I joined a clan. (Back in my day, joining a clan meant actually making a new account with a clan tag on it.)
Friends and clan-mates there took to calling me “Bombz” for whatever reason, I guess because it’s so much shorter than “Bomber.” I officially adopted that name later for other games, since it’s at least a bit more unique.
