How do you change icon in forums?

As you can see, my icon is still the ancient gold anniversary mercy. I have not been a mercy main since season 3. It’s not a massive issue, but I’d like for the forums to update my icon to whatever my in game icon is. If not, at least let us change the icon here. Gets a little tiring explaining to people that I’m not a mercy main any more when they assume I am. XD

Also want to say there’s nothing wrong with being a mercy main at all, at least not from my pov. But there’s a lot of elitism on this forum, not a lot of people take mercy players opinions seriously, for literally no good reason.

…No, seriously, you can’t. Icon swapping’s been broken for literally years at this point.

I vaguely remember that you need to make profile public for the icon to change

Ahhh it was open before hero Bans were introduced, but I privated to avoid targeted bans in comp. XD

Just open it, refresh the acc details on forums, and close it again.

I had same problem, years ago.

Yep yep. Something went wrong and ability to change icons on the forums was lost sometime around the end of Season 1 of OW2, or first half of S2. Multiple requests for this to be looked into never went anywhere.

my profile has always been public but my icon never changes.
