Bc I’m on my 4th massive loosing streak ever since I hit plat.
I’m pretty stable at 2.7k been holding myself compfy there the past seasons but every now and then it happens that my team absolutely gets rolled for games on end with very few wins in between wich don’t help much since my mmr gets progressively worse and pushes me down (gain less sr then I loose).
I’m usually dropping to like 2-1,9k so it’s not like I’m crying bc of 5 lost games here
And then out of the blue I shoot back up to plat and everything is as usual
This happens over multiple days like 3-4 at most, so the “bad day argument” kinda doesn’t apply here. I’m also taking regular breaks in between (I’d say 10-15 games a day)
And the games down there in the gulag get arguably harder since I feel like I have to do everything, push, finnish of, while keeping everyone alive, Idk haha
I’m not trying to shift the blame on anyone, it just feels weird since they happen almost … predictably If that makes sense and the sr range I drop to is almost always the same, not v enjoyable, wondering if anyone else experiences that too from time to time.
If u have any tips that helped u in plat, namely on mercy, ana and bap, drop them
on mercy try to get atleast 1k damage amp per game also try to damage amp the person closer to ult, with ana try to take off angles to get a huge anti that can single handedly win a fight, with bap shoot twice and press secondary with lamp use it behind a wail or when a grav and theres no walls near you to hide it put it behind your teamates that way they body block it and they will probably survive
Yes, you have to stop thinking about ranks and sr, and exclusively focus on your improvement.
No matter if you win or lose - use each match as a lesson in what you need to improve in/refine. If you’re not consistently playing better, you’re not going to consistently climb.
That’s the gist of it. Like I can give you tips on x hero, but if you don’t constantly work on your play, you’re just gonna stagnate eventually, even with incorporating those tips.
Example: “These game, I’m gonna focus on not wasting any flash grenades and getting full value out of them” and so on and so on, until all 1000s of these micro things become second nature. 2 plat Mcrees are not necessarily equal in their skillsets, but they are both plat - one has great positioning/game sense, the other has great mechanics, but both have to improve in order to climb higher.
The lower your elo - there more you have to improve upon.
The major difference between plat Mercy/Ana/Baps and diamond Mercy/Ana/Baps is ult management imho. Plat supports don’t know when and who to ult. So my tip here would be: the only offensive ult on this list is Valkyrie - nano/amp matrix is a reaction/counter ult. Meaning Valk is to give your team advantage and nano/amp matrix is an answer to enemy team’s advantage and a tide turner. Use Valk just before the fight starts, and the rest as an answer o something. (like your tank dying, your dps ulting, your team needing extra heals etc etc.)
Sometimes you just get screwed by teammate-RNG. It happens.
Shooting right back up means the MMR system knows that it wasn’t your fault, so just do your best, understand that it’s not your fault, and enjoy a few easy games on the house.
