How do rounds and time remaining work?

So, I’ve been playing overwatch for quite some time, and now I am playing overwatch 2 competitive.
I just had a match on Hollywood where enemy team pushed the payload all the way to the end with 0 time remaining, then we did the same with 3 minutes remaining. After that round we were attackers once again and our objective was to capture 1/3 of the point in order to win(with enemy team not receiving their 1 minute time to try to come back).
I’ve been searching through all the menus and found no information on mechanics of competitive game rounds and stuff. Even tried googling it out but there was nothing that would explain how Competitive mechanics work.
After all, it is supposed to be competitive, feels strange not to be able to read somewhere at very least about Victory conditions and similar mechanics.

If I recall correctly, in hybrid, if you both hit overtime, y’all both get 1 min to attack and whoever makes better progress wins. Same if both team have time remaining.

Tho, If one team hit ot and the other team has remaining time , the team with the remaining time goes on attack and just need to get one tick. If the defending team can hold, its considered a draw.

I see, I know there is some condition where both teams get 1 additional minute, I guess that is when 1 team has less than 1 minute remaining, but yet more than 0 seconds. Then again, I can’t find any reliable info on that

On payload if both teams finish in ot both get a 1min push. on hybrid if one team finishes in ot and the other has more than 1 min left, the team with time gets to cap a tick. if both finish in ot, I believe it draws (don’t quote me on that)

Yeah the game isn’t very clear about that. I sorta learn it by just going through it and just connecting the dots. It frustrating to do an amazing hold and just getting a draw not realizing the conditions.

Hybrid: 13 sec for one team, over time for other, results in more rounds (1:00 time and 1:13 remaining)
