How do people make their aim really smooth?

I play the game at 210 fps with the logitech g502, but my aim seems to be somewhat choppy and not ridiculously smooth like when I look at pros play?

High dpi, very low sens along with (in general) arm movement rather than wrist movement

Get an aluminum gaming mouse pad, get a good mouse. Have low sensitivity and try to match the DPI to your mouses sensor. Mine is 800 DPI and around 4 in game sensitivity. Move the mouse with your entire arm from your elbow down, mostly. Use wrist only for fine adjustments and don’t think much about what your shoulder is doing. Then practice, a lot. Like 200 hours. Training mode, vs Ana or Lucio bots, custom games, and the main game. And then you’ll be able to flick and be smoother in tracking, at least that’s how it worked for me.

Also your end DPI and Sensitivity should be tuned so you don’t get pixel skipping. There’s a calculator for that but I don’t have the link with me.

It comes down to personal aiming style with a side of sensitivity. If your sens is high you will have choppier aim.

My tracking is pretty jagged for a few reasons, one of them is because my sens (4800 edpi) is considered high for hitscan. There are also some pros that have very jittery aim. SBB is a good example, but he also plays with a fairly high sens.

Aim that isn’t buttery smooth isn’t inherently bad as long as you can properly apply damage with it.

Basically just set your sensitivity to a reasonable level and you should be good to go. Don’t go overboard though, setting it too low might improve your aim but it’s not worth it if you cant look around freely. You can use the settings high tier players for reference, but don’t just copy them blindly. You have to find something that You are comfortable with. I personally play at 5400 edpi which is a bit higher than most players but it works for me so I stick with it.
