How do Mythic Weapons work?

I saw that one Rein Mythic hammer, that has a special animation when you eliminate someone. Same for the Ana mythic rifle.

Are those animations visible for everyone, or only the player using it? Cuz for example, the mythic skins have voice filters, but only the person using the skin can hear it.

It’s only visible for yourself. The voice lines can be heard but not in their mythic voice.

so what’s the point of buying it if only you can see the kill effects?

So you can see the kill effects…?

You can just not buy them and save the 10 prisms.

If people only cared about what they see, all skins would be client-side only, but that’s not how that works now is it

It should be visible for everyone. I mean, what’s the whole point if you can’t even show it off?

which is disappointing…that YOU are the only one that can see it…like the Ana sword when you get a kill…that’s kind of weak imo
