I signed up for the Overwatch 2 beta. I will assume that I get sent a code or something like that via email. When I get that “code” how to I start to play overwatch 2 on my xbox? I just don’t understand how I’ll play it. Do I have to go on Microsoft Edge on my xbox then on battle.net or will it just be in the xbox store or will it be on gamepass? I’m just very confused on how I’ll even get into the game on my xbox.
Yeah, you’d get a code that you’d input into the XBox store, either on console or on web
They haven’t given any details for the console crowd, but for PC there was no code or anything, the game just appeared in our library as “ready to install”. So you should wait till June 28th and then refresh the Microsoft store and search “Overwatch 2” until it shows the beta pop up as available to install.
Alternatively you can do the same with your Xbox game library in case it automatically shows up there.
And also be checking your email often to see if you get an email from Blizzard telling you that you’ve been selected for the beta.
Keep in mind that during the first beta, the actual emails didn’t arrive until several hours after you were already granted access, so the best advice is to just keep checking the Microsoft store on your console every hour or half hour.
And finally try not to get your hopes too high as those who purchased the watchpoint pack and probably content creators will get first access, it means the rest of us might not even get in until a day or more later.
Well what I did, is go to games and apps, full library, and next to overwatch you will see overwatch 2 beta, so download it and i guess wait till the 28th
