I played like 3 games the other day and there was Hanzo back to back that kept getting lucky shots on me and kinda wiping my team solo. I was playing DPS for reference. Maybe i just need better aim? I play McCree and hitscans mostly. Maybe i need better positioning. Idk.
I usually only peak when I see the arrows go by so I can peak for a moment to get a shot in. Also good strafing throws off even the best Hanzos
Widow can also work if you have decent or better aim since you do more damage and have instant bullets

Dive heroes. Genji, Winston, Dva, Tracer. Pharah/echo might also work if he can’t aim targets in the sky.

hanzo is doesnt have a particular counter, any hero works againts him if you coordinate well and is simply better than the player
if the player is a good hanzo, you cant do much againts him similiar to good tracers

Right, I do this but I get caught off guard by Sonic Arrow lol. Might put sound effects on blast or something.
Once twice is lucky, whole game mesnd you have poor awareness positioning and movement. Mix up ad strafing.
Genji counters him a bit but a good hanzo will kill a average genji.
Also if you are good with hitscans soldier is a better bet against hanzo than cree you can do crazy dance strafing with soldier and hanzos will struggle to hit while you have consistent dmg.

Echo, Tracer, Widowmaker, Genji. Hanzo isn’t unstoppable. Even as Doomfist i wait until he storm arrows, then punch at and uppercut him. He leaps midair, I slam where he lands and get results most of the time.

see. im able to play tracer but i never choose her. i have this thing where its weird to pick like any of the dps on the right side of the selection. i think i need to use my gold rank to pick whoever i want and experiment with new choices. like i said i play hitscan only, i need literally anything else.
Well you could have Brig overheal you with Armor and… oh wait.
If you’re in gold you’re legitimately allowed to play every DPS in any situation. Go Sym and teleport to Hanzo.

Play anything that isn’t a slow projectile hero or a sustained hit-scan 
Don’t confuse skill with luck.
As a DPS you’ll need to avoid mid-range duels with Hanzo. Either get in super close with Tracer[1] / Reaper / Genji or stay a mile away with Widowmaker / Pharah. Midrange beasts like McCree and Torbjorn are gonna be split in two by his girthy arrows before they can even line up a shot.
[1]: With Tracer be sure to stay out of melee range though. Arrow+Melee is a 150 damage combo and can hit you faster than you think it will.
Better aim could never hurt, but positioning is definitely a key one.
When I play Zenyatta and wind up in this matchup, I always think with the mindset of, “He knows I’m here, just reposition.” Because the player is mostly just keep lobbing high damage projectiles my way hoping for me to pop out and get snagged by one.
That’s what it sounds like is happening to you, Hanzo is just lobbing arrows at you where they see you peeking in and out of.

stop assuming hes getting lucky cause hes on a projectile sniper. boom your survivability just skyrocketed.
Hanzo is very spammy, it’s kind of his thing. Don’t get caught by it.
