How dare Junkrat two-tap

I am so outraged that Junkrat can two-tap. Where is his mine combo? He’s hankering for some destruction, and two tapping with grenades simply is not cutting it.

(Seriously though, just give him back his mine combo)

You can combo you just have to follow up with one of those crazy airshot flicks consistently to do 5 damage

(they’re gonna have to eventually but it’s gonna take them months of buffing literally anything else before they admit defeat)

They’re not gonna do it,

They don’t want a F-tier hero be in B-tier.

You joke but unless you’re melee range you actually do :skull:

Just hit that every time and don’t miss or you die. It’s so reasonable and definitely doable for most players…

Because if you give him back his cheap combo, then it defeats the purpose of buffing everyone’s HP. I’d rather they use Toast’s suggestion about halving damage after a bounce, but that’d be too easy.

How bout no. It was the easiest and most consistent combo in the game that any bronze could pull off.

Thing is that suggestion would only work by adding much higher pick potential back into his kit in exchange for such a sizeable nerf. The goal is to destroy the spam playstyle for good and then rebalance him to reward aggressive flanks, hitting directs etc.

So reward aim and make his useless for those not hitting directs. I imagine that would fix most complaints because his skill floor would be raised way up but at the same time his high end potential would be better. Realistically the combo or at minimum higher primary damage would be a part of that.

If your every kill isn’t a freshnuts noobhunter clip compilation factory are you even skilled?

landing airshots is definitely doable but it’s always an “oh s*** clip it!” moment when it happens, it just feels bad that after playing like you’re cracked out of your mind you’re still not gonna outperform a soujourn having an average game

Question: why does the best forum Junkrat player have the worst legendary skin equipped!?

Tbh, the only way I see his death combo returning is if they make it so he barely kills a squishy if executed perfectly.

The problem with pre-season 9 combo was that it dealt more than enough damage to reliability kill a squishy at all times.

His combo dealt 230 dmg right before season 9, the 30 dmg overkill left some leeway for less accuracy when finishing someone with the mine.

Getting the mine to 125 dmg should probably be ok, as even slightly off aim would result in too much falloff for the instakill.

Alt account with like 3 skins

Fine, fine.

But at least go with Hayseed or Scarecrow!!!

The thing is that’s not even true. Blizzard lowered his mine damage to 100 which still gave a 20 health margin of error and he was so horrendous that they reverted the change. This was with his primary being better, ult being better etc. It wasn’t reliable at all people just disliked it.

Fool is better than either of those and I will die on this hill.

Well at least you’ll be dead!

And maybe stuffed with hay… and left in a field.

With a grenade launcher.

I am aware that he was in a poor state even with that 20 dmg leeway, but at least it was still possible to do the death combo at all.

I really doubt, they’re gonna buff his primary and/or mine back to the point of giving him anywhere above even just 10 dmg leeway as it is very clear they wanted to originally get rid of the combo anyway.

A much more realistic change (especially for the Overwatch dev team) is to simply add 5 dmg to his mine and free themselves of that guilt.

“He can instakill again, we are so great and listen to player feedback

I don’t disagree. I’ve been saying for a while that they’re going to keep buffing absolutely everything else and make him awful to play into until they finally realise there’s no way to make him viable in high ranks without the combo.

Unless they want to give him another mine that is…

They are likely trying to figure out another bandaid solution as they don’t want his viability to be tied to “oh, whoops, you’re dead with zero counterplay” even if it’s at dangerously close range.

They have been targeting the “frustration factor” for a while now, while only causing more frustration with every problem they “fix”.

I don’t think there’s a way to make his kit work in high ranks without the combo other than adding extra mines and messing with the fall off. That would be horrendous for everyone though.

I could imagine they add some sort of additional detonation type damage to finish off targets hit by the combo over time.

Sth like hitting the mine on enemies below 50% hp causes them to explode after 1s, dealing an additional 80dmg (example).

It’s evident, they dislike the ista-kill burst, so maybe they’ll consider this type of approach in the future, idk.

Fool is better than the Jester skin

Which is saying something… coming from me. Probably.
