Hey guys! Recently in a discussion about mouse sensivity people on the boards called me insane for playing with 2400DPI and 12 ingame sens. I noticed then that a lot of people play with stuff like 800*4, but when I do values like that, my character can barely turn around and feels like a terminator with decrepitude.
I though have to admit, that it’s really nice to aim with that, but it only works on huger distances. As soon as I get flanked or someone is close in front of me jumping around, I can hardly keep the tracking up with my mouse.
After going back to 2400*12 and trying to lower the ingame sense, I now tried this tool: https://pyrolistical.github.io/overwatch-dpi-tool/
Referring to the tool, with 2400 DPI I would need to put ingame sense at 4 to avoid pixel skipping, which I did now, so I’m back at my previous problem above.
What are your opinions? Is pixel skipping really an issue? I feel generally that I can aim well at 2400*12, sometimes it can get hard to aim precisely on long distances ( well even on mid ), but vice versa I’m way better if someone comes in close range.
I play at 1600 dpi • 3.25 in game sens which gives me 5200 e-dpi. I just play with it until I get use to it. You should your sens that you’re comforable with, that’s what really matters. You can use mine and work on lowering and raising it. It depends on your mouse space too. I have the Overwatch razer goliath speed extended.
Dont even bother about this topic , Ive spent some hours about this issue, I even have some posts here about the same topic. Im palying with 1400 DPI and around 15-17 ingame sens and people freak out. I main Widow/Tracer so tracking is the thing for me and I feel great, people suggested me to go 400-600 dpi and 5-8 in game sens… which is plain retarded if you ask me, I have to break my arm to make a 180 turn. Currently Im playing with 1400DPI and 14.98 sens and it feels smooth, since you are playing at a higher rate try to tone down a bit your ingame sense but not much like a 2or3 points down. And there is no such thing like pixel skipping lol if there was how can you have those options to go 10000000 DPI and the same ingame , again some kids with too much free time decided to act like scientist and talk ****. Play the game the way you like and the way you want it, aiming is the most individual thing in those type of games, if your aim is on point dont even talk with others about it, since its working for you. Have a good one.

Try some middle ground, like 800x6 - 800x8 on a 1080p resolution. If you want to use 1600 or 2400 doesn’t matter that much, just approximate the sensitivity. For example 800x6 is equivalent to 1600x3 or 2400x2
High DPI makes your aim smoother, but it won’t make it necessarily better.
The smoother aim helps me to see what’s going on.
I play at 800 DPI, 3 in game sens. The key is to gradually lower your sensitivity. After I reached this sensitivity, I can aim much more precisely with Widow/McCree.
1600 DPI and 3 in-game sens, it’s really good if you have a lot of arm/hand space
It dramatically changed my pixel-skipping problem when I used to play on high sens

I used to have 400 and 7.8. I changed it to 800 and 3.9 so my e-dpi was the same. But when I had 800 dpi my aim felt smoother. Not like I got better more like I was getting more fps even though I only changed my sens settings.
Idk, I gave it a try with very low sens. But I feel too unflexible if I get flanked or in close combat, now just went back to 2400*12 and still have 60% accuracy with Widow in my last game. So I will just now totally stick to that, I guess fast is best for me.
this is 2 years later, but the main reason to switching to arm aim and lower sens is to save you from long term injury. it’s not natural or great for your wrist to be doing that much moving constantly, basically snapping back and forth. use what works best, but be aware of the long term risks.
