How can I learn more about the game?

Where can I learn more about overwatch?
Things like team composition, strategies, about the tank role, and positioning?

I’d personally recommend Your Overwatch on youtube. I follow them and they’re very helpful. Also (maybe) KarQ.

there are a lot of people posting on youtube that do tutorials(might be easiest to look up by individual heroes), watching people’s streams and gameplay if they’re plat or higher will teach you tricks, heck, I’ve even learned tricks from watching overwatch league. There’s an app i use called OverSumo(it’s free) that shows you your competitive and quickplay stats and gives tips and tricks on every hero as well, and it’s a useful little tool. I read it at night and stuff when im going to bed just to learn about heroes i don’t play, and it teaches me new stuff.

overwatch has much too wide of a spectrum to really have a de facto source of useful information. as someone suggested, your overwatch isn’t bad, but since they cast quite a wide net with their content, it can be hard to find more granular information that you may want.

the way i approach it is that i will watch general content just for little bits of inspiration and tips, but when i get interested in a specific character i’ll play them personally and then watch video of professionals playing them and really good amateurs (this is important since the highest levels of comp are so much different than qp and even most levels of comp AND knowing that i will never have the reaction speed and ability that the pros having, so watching amateurs is more realistic to my own ability) to understand the finer aspects of that character. for positioning and such, i really feel that’s more of a hands-on thing that you can learn best just by playing, playing, playing.

Your Overwatch on YouTube has been by mar the most useful consistent resource of mine. Their analysis of strategies and pointing out things to NOT do have heavily contributed to my game sense, rising out of Silver to Gold/Plat.
