If you leave your gamemode you aren’t the owner anymore so I can’t change the gamemode or fix bugs. So how do I make it if I join the gamemode of my workshop mode that I’m automatically the owner again?
I asked about it yesterday and got a helpful answer if the new owner refuses to regive your ownership you can kill him it would be
All players (custom string {0}, event player == Sven) (event player != host player) (is button held any button any button you want to press == true) then (kill host player and the killer is null or anything you want)
I was scrolling through some old stuff and found this… THANK YOU SOO MUCH
No problem random citizen
It is a useless solution because your combination should be really complicated so during a regular match other players do not kill you by a mistake and then for fun. From other side, any a little advanced “workshoper” can edit your code, remove it or set own nickname and restart. There is nothing bad if someone keeps your game mod and does not agree to leave the owner - it just means you are a really good developer so other players enjoy playing your games. Also you can just leave this game room to those players and open a new game room with same or different title and load last used config to keep playing or testing. Another way is just to stay in spectators and wait for a last player leaving so you get your game room back (however it is just if you want to keep the room alive while being afk for a long time). Sure the owner can stay in spectators so your way to deal with the “bad player” has no a sense at all.
Yes they can so we must spend more time make it harder to undo
Let’s be honest if someone refuses to regive you the ownership they are likely to change the mode to into thier favour by making thier mains more op or removing heroes they hate.
The problem with that being the original one will be more popular so people won’t get the latest updates
It’s the best I could make until blizzard give us lobby control actions
What is a real problem if someone changes your game mod? You just keep working on your own code to make it perfect. Nobody can steal your thoughts. It is not a paid business to create game mods… Blizzard does not give anything for being creative or show high skills… You lose nothing for sharing your code or giving up with your game room. I did it many times and still players do not like to play unfinished version with bugs you know only how to fix so they will find you later and come to your new game room. You also can just send a message like “I am going to open a new game room to keep working on this game mod. Please enjoy, thanks for playing it.”
Believe me nice players understand it but trolls and not nice ones better to leave there, in the old room :] .
I used this just so I could have a message on the screen that tells everyone that the programmer of that mode was on that server… and to request new things to put in it.
just save it and load it again later?
