How can I apply to the Overwatch development team?

If I were one of the dev team members, I would rather die than let Pig Pen be the Hog rework.

I would definity ban who design mauga.

I can solve tank counter-swapping problem.

I’m pretty sure 90% of the human population could solve the problems. It’s very a simple fix, lol.

I mean… what’s your resume?

We also have to consider your character when applying for the job, so you’re already cruising for a bruising…

You can guess what the resume will be given by the approach troll post with no self introduction.

If they actually cared to apply they would have just looked at their job or career portal anyway.

It’s a troll post

…

Where’s your sense of humour?

Sombra hacked and disabled it :frowning:

Do you also go down to construction sites and shout suggestions to the workers? Willing to bet you know as much about that as you do game design.

Just look at Hog’s pig pen and Mauga.
Is this the result of 200 years of design experience from a ‘professional team’?
You’re just a troll defending the devs.
We need someone who loves this game deeply with deep knowledge of the game.
Not just any random graduate from a random school who joined the Overwatch dev team for money and career goals.
They see Overwatch as just a regular job, not as a passion or responsibility.

The only way they would accept you is if you somehow convince Elon Musk to give you a “small loan” then buy the rights to the game

Are you sure you wanna apply?

This is so sad that I cannot make it before Overwatch dies.
Just look at Jeff. How long does it take to prove his game plan is not working?
The consequences of his bad decisions have created a deep hole in Overwatch.

Overwatch 2 might have the potential to save it, but otherwise, it will continue to decline to a point where recovery is impossible.
Remember my words!

Hahahahahahaha good one. Have you seen 99% of the forum takes? No one here could come even close to “solving” anything

Well Jeff Kaplan and many others got a job at Blizzard for wow by ranting at everquest, I think people are doing it now in overwatch forum to get hired by rivals ir that valve game lol

Op is so polite compared to Jeff.

Jeff did ran guilds and stuff so there was that experience.

In all honesty Dev’s and data people are not good balance wise interms of gameplay feel and experience.

Generally someone with gaming experience generally get it , not necessarily a sweat lord or pro just a average one , romero was one, most games that get good balance have someone like that.

Hugo martin the same

I don’t hate Jeff, but he definitely killed Overwatch 1.

Eh. If you’re saying it’s because they ditched it for OW2, I’d disagree. The game was pretty much as of a finished product at the end of its run as it could be. And even though people called it dead, it still had a decent dedicated playerbase, and probably would’ve kept it if the team continued to actually develop their game for however long they needed.

None of those jokers check enough boxes to get hired at Blizzard in 2024.

I don’t think the world will be blessed with another Carmack or Romero.

What do you mean ?
Get me in !!

Jeff ditched Overwatch 1 when it was still popular.
The PvE mission is just overrated, just like Jeff.
If he doesn’t like PvP, why didn’t he just let other people take charge?
He could have focused on PvE separately.

Jeff created this game but also ruined it.

An EverQuest player managing a competitive PvP game—what a mismatch.

We can’t let it happen again in Overwatch 2.

There is no more chance for Overwatch to get a new start. Overwatch “2” has used the quota.

Blizzard must act! Even people like FLATS complain about the current game. Blizzard should acknowledge it is a bad situation for Overwatch.

It’s better to make mistakes while trying to save the game than to let it die slowly!!

Overwatch devs, do something, please!!

Jeff Kaplan made World of Warcraft the juggernaut it became.

Then he was given his own project, Project Titan. Titan was supposed to be a Destiny like shooter with MMO elements.

After 10 years, it turned into Overwatch.

Content regurgitators are a plague on the gaming industry.

I am guessing they think less is more
