How big are hanzos arrows?

Cuz i always seem to die to hanzo even tho he was aiming a good 2 inches away from me?

No i didnt walk into the arrow because i was running RIGHT and his crosshair was BEHIND ME therefore IMPOSSIBLE for me to run into.

The arrow went a few feet behind my head but somehow still headshot me.

what the heck man? How big are this dudes arrows lolll?

You can find a video someone made about overwatch hitboxes. Hanzo arrows get put into ur head like 2 feet out left or right.

This is disingenuous. The projectile is very small, but if a particular target hitbox is larger than the actual model then it could appear to hit from 2 feet out… but so would almost every other shot in the game.

Supposedly his arrows are the “smallest” projectile in the game and Ana’s darts are the biggest yet hanzo gets a headshot from hitting mercy’s wings and Ana cant even hit me when im standing still and her reticle is directly on me. Something isn’t right with his hitbox and it certainly doesnt help that he can shoot 6 of them rapidly.

THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE COMPLAINING THAT HAZNO IS op… BLIZZARD DOES NOTHING

mega lawliez

The long time fans of overwatch call them tree logs for a reason

Hmm, this makes more sense than anything else at the moment. You’ve inspired me to look into finding that video and doing some testing in the training area.

About a week ago I was hs’d by a Hanzo at ~1-2 meters. Watching the killcam he was about 30 degrees off to the left and too low aim for a hs (second time this kind of thing happened). I almost reported the guy for cheating, but for it to happen twice like that made me realize I don’t exactly know how “big” Hanzo’s arrows are.

hanzos arrows are BIG

you can literally get head shot by hanzop even if his crosshair is FOUR INCHES away from your head. its honestly ridic i dk why its taking so long to fix.

Doesn’t matter how small Hanzo’s arrow projectile is. What matters is the hitbox coded around the target for Hanzo’s incoming arrow.

With the amount of damage Hanzo can put out, balance should be some form of headshot penalty. Too many OHK’s. There is no real game balance. Hanzo is a “must pick” now for his TTK.

The problem with the current Hanzo is that eventually he will be met with buffs to other DPS to counter. It’s becoming a non-stop problem. Especially for those that have the role of healer that can barely defend themselves as it is. Sometimes I see why players choose not to be support. Their survivability is becoming lower and lower with these one sided buffs.

Yeah man the only hero I can’t understand.
I can’t play it either so probably something is wrong with me not with hanzo :joy:

Well it got reduced it used to be alot worse. but it is still easier to hit with arrows

rotflmao. Have you ever palyed anything else than OW?

Ever been to a forest? :smirk:

Sir, it seems you have fallen prey to the very common misconception that Hanzo’s arrows are “logs” flying through the air. Apparently very early in the game they were larger, but that was changed long long long ago. People today still act as though it is true despite several developer posts on the subject and readily available methods for testing available for anyone.

Another case of people believing what they want to believe.

Hanzos arrows got a buff didn’t you hear? It’s called dragonsight, they curve toward your head no matter where he shot them from. The Shimada dragon guides his arrows toward the head of unsuspecting enemies

Gullible beyond belief.

As a Dev has already said. They are very small.
